I like the idea of the twin afterburner style, but dont like the lights and that silver surround they used.

I don't think that those lights would be too bad if the whole tail-light was molded into the car. That's a really bad photoshop job though.

actuallly thats my car and it looks ****in good in fact its the dogs dangleys meanwhile your car looks **** and by the way everyone it's a bad photoshop job but the real ones wil look really good and he's also going to do a three light style and post a pic on the link when its ready i'll let you guys know when it's ready. also you should all be supporting this effort there arn't any parts for the gen6 so any effort to get something different made should be supported how can you guys say they dont look good when most of your cars have hardley been modded and are almost standard **MOD edited** |

I agree that it looks good, but there is no need at all to come on here and yell at people because of their opinion. Gosh. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Get off your high horse. Secondly, you can't fairly say most of the cars have hardly been modded. Christ! Do you realize what you just said? The site is devoted to the 6GC scene and guess what, that includes aftermarket parts. I'd say more than 75% of the members total have atleast one aftermarket part and that almost 90% of the ACTIVE members have aftermarket parts. You can't just says stuff like that. On a third note, even though me and Brian have been at disagreements..his car does not look like a male genetalia. |

That second one does not look too bad!
Looks a bit like a Skyline. There are almost no rear light replacement options available to us 6th gen people, (Apart from JDM), so at least someone is attempting to make an effort!  |

Yeah! Up Yours to the dude with the evil attitude. I'm saying that because my car has no body work but it still is sexy to look at.
I think the twin lights could look ok, if they were done with the outside lights being slightly smaller that the inside ones. Also you would need to design some sort of division between paint and tails, like a ridge around each circle or something.

Putting tail lights from other cars on your car = rice. Like putting Supra tails on ours for example. But thats just me. I post at some 300zx forums and all of those people would murder you if you changed your tail lights to those of another car...but thats Z...but then again they have the right state of mind. When it comes to taillight conversions, JDM or nothing.

Dude thats a pretty lame opinion of rice, people pay good money for conversions and alot of the time they look good. Theres people with some pretty awful cares on this site so dont bash these tails man, how about a silver celica with a cf hood black rims and the rest of the rice package, do people like that have there mom dress them in the morning because they obviously have no clue about style. First lights were lame (probably just a bad photoshop pic) the second two were ok, would need some more shots, different coloured cars etc.
This is my opinion... People used to be able to express and accept someones opinion well on here, pretty much regardless, this is why i joined up- it was refreshing in a forum like this. Recently in some posts people are getting very personal and basically trying to enforce their tastes. Were a good bunch, dont lets end up like all the other sites...

I have an mx-3 and **** if Im going to waste my time on those forums. I like the second ones quite a bit.....only thing is that if they ever got produced, they would probably need to be painted to match the car, and custom molding would be expensive for a set of tails if they werent. I say JDM tails for price and looks.

its all personal opinion, my personal opinion is theyre ugly and a waste of money. if you want to support the 6gc scene, we really need to get someone to make some headers or engine internals or brake kits or sway bars or control arms or throttle body or something that actually makes a difference in the car. This car has a hell of a lot of ability, with no one making any worthwhile parts. new taillights just arent doin it.

The whole point of having a celi club about modding and improving your cars, is to do exactly that, to make your celica unique to everyone else's by making it look better, drive faster, handle better, etc.. if your just going to leave your car standard then dont bother joining a club and be like millions of others who just drive their normal motors day to day blending in with everyone else.
otherwise join a club, mod your car and support other people (like myself) who are trying to get companys to make more unique mods for our gen6 dont just say urrgh dont like that spoiler etc ... "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" so if you think it looks good then go for it dont be a sheep like everyone else.... bah.. bahh.. personally i think my gen6 looks really good with a smooth clean look which is higly modded but does not look to over the top or tacky, cause i want a unique car i have done this and am proud of it. so go on be different ... BTW rice.... ehhhh... most people eat it - speak english please. |

along with being in a club about modding, most people would like opinions of other people in the celica world to know if their work is unique or just ugly. Beauty may be in the eyes of the beholder, but if all you have heard is good things about something that is bad, you will be screwed in the long run. That said... Those tail-lights are ugly, I wouldn't except money for someone to put them on my car.

You're all moaning that no-one produces after-market products for the G6, but when some-one does you still moan????
You all want JDM rear clusters? Come to England - we can get them all too easily! This is why us G6 owners in good ol' England want something different. I, personally do not want to change my JDM's ( I had UK spec before) but have not slagged this initiative off. How do you expect other companies to produce the goods if you're going to slag them off???? IMHO the new clusters are 100% better than using office lighting material - no-one in England would consider such a conversion............ Please feel free to flame me - I'm asbestos coated!

Most of us moan over something that is ugly and distastefully done. The second set of lights are the only ones that are decent looking. The 1st and 2nd are just flat out ugly and can be made by any 2 year old... As long as the design of the tails ARE NOT Altezza style or classless, then I'm sure that people here would be very appreciative and content... Of course people are going to complain if the design looks like ass... you wouldn't want to put ass-looking tails on your car as well, right? |

If a company makes lights that I like, I'll get them. My point was that I wouldn't complain about a company making lights for 6gc that I didn't like. If you don't like them then just don't buy them. The more options for 6gc people the better .

Sorry, but you may have plenty of replies... but the 2nd car with the red out tails and the circles around them. I like it, but it isn't celica, Its like trying to make a celica something its not. So like alot of people your options suck. But that would be the best choice in my opinion if you where going for it.
