reputation is for buying and selling...aka...u buy somethin from some one, u get better reputation..or u sell somethin, the person who bought likes, they post and you get better repuation.

As for your enthusiasm part, that just depends on how many posts you have made over the years. If your only on the site to look around or make the odd comment here or there, your enthusist rating wont go up.

Thats kinda right, rep is for the b/s only. You sell or buy something and the seller/buyer you deal with can leave feedback to help your rep and better your ods of selling/buying something.

The squares and enthusist tag are there because back in the day we voted to remove the post count and help eliminate "post whoring". Thats someone who posts random crap to up their post count. Not a huge deal but it floods the servers and site with meaning less crap. If I recall the OT table will not count any of your posts to your hidden post count and member rating.

yeah I mean you gotta get active on the site to have a rep in the 6gc community, that way, when you sell stuff, people are going to be a lot more trusting of you. that's what i was talking about, better to gain some trust before trying to sell.
