im on like 125,xxx miles rite now... i think thats somewhat close to 200,000 kilometers...

i guess im in the club haha

engine is actually still running great... only trouble im having is that its auto and the change from 1st to 2nd gear is a little touchy... kinda feel a little jerk in the change... but over all the drive is still nice.

i just recently flushed out the engine oil comepletely and washed out all the existing oil. replaced completely with sinthetic oil so the engine is running really smoothe.

i also did the same with my tranny fluid so thats running smoothe too.

i purchased new spark plugs as well and i am currently waiting on my order im getting in a new distributor cap and high performance wiring. i had the car checked out and my engine check light is on because the wiring is a little old. but that will soon me changed. the wiring is going to be red smile.gif

I was at 215k and running strong before the wreck, and that was with RallyCross beating on it (like AutoCross but in the dirt). Toyota engines will last 300+ as long as you take care of them.

Only things I needed to make it to 215 were an alternator, clutch, and regular oil changes. I was running Syntec 5w20 with Restore every 3rd or 4th change.

Now the Supra (mk3 7mgte) is sitting at 177k and just needs a few gaskets. wink.gif

245,487 miles
Celica ST

I believe a wheel bearing in the rear passenger is going out, the shift boot is tore up, and the engine is eating a quart every 1500 to 2000 miles. Other than that - the engine runs fantastic (easy starts, pulls well etc). There's no oil spots when I park, and I have a new clutch. Myself and my friend who owned it before me are fanatics about changing the oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles (and other maintenance) . I'm sure that's why she's still going.

I'd imagine the rings or the valve seals are leaking out the oil, and the engine will need replacing... just not sure when? I may sense a V6 swap in my future wink.gif

When I swapped in the 3SGTE, I had 249,881 miles on the odometer.

Original motor and transmission are still in amazing shape, I probably could have gotten at least another 100,000 miles out of that motor. But the 3SGTE has probably somewhere around 50,000 miles and it definately shows.

I've got 367,000kms (228,000 miles) on my 94 ST, with original everything. Runs like a top, but I'll be doing the clutch this month; it finally wore out. Oil control rings leak, as expected, and the valve cover does a bit, too. Otherwise, it's in amazing shape.

177K on mine it is now a second car so it only gets driven once or twice a week. It was a company fleet car for 10 years so it was VERY well maintained and driven a lot on the interstate.

I just rolled my odometer over today to 257,000 miles....while boosting onto the highway doing over 100mph. tongue.gif

My car is starting to hate me a little bit. I think now that the body has seen so many miles and the engine is so rough on everything, I'm going to be replacing a lot of chassis components in the near future.

My car just hit 200,000 big ones today! Gotta love the 7afe....well sort of.

For you guys hitting around 100,000 miles, it's just getting broken in good.

I decided to post here, because I feel closer to this number in the "Miles Club". I hit 150k the other day and as far as I know, this is all the same engine. I get told good things about Toyota Engines, no one ever says anything bad about them.

These mileages are amazing to me!

In the UK you hardly EVER see a car over 150k

I only did 6200 miles last year! It would take me nearly 50 years to get to 300k!

just for reference:
200,00 mi = 370,400 km
also, 1 mi = 1.60935 km

not trying to belittle anyones MI / KM accomplishments, just helping provide a frame of reference.
