Ok well I'm finally done with the tune up... A box of Mobil 1 w/filter, a fresh set of NGK bkr6e (same as 3sgte), new 8K HID bulbs and 5 hrs of uncomfortable positions and she's ready to enjoy!.....well, now i need gas laugh.gif

guess what it is? biggrin.gif
IPB Image

Yea, its a 2001 Audi TT Quattro, 6spd.....I originally was about to get an 04 RX8 but once I saw that even with proper rotary care it would still blow anyway I scrapped it, then I went to go look at an 02 BMW M3 that I was looking to buy and appearantly I was 30min too late and they had sold it, so I looked around the lot and this one really caught my eye...its just sooo clean that I couldn't refuse, and its fun to drive with the top down. Any way im just happy I found a car I liked biggrin.gif

im guessing he prolly has descent credit or at least a positive history and no large outstanding balances and financed it, ive been lookin around for a nice audi or something as a daily but never found one that i liked that wasnt rediculously over priced in this area. if you dont mind me asking, how many miles n how much did it set ya back? curious how the markets differ

working ~ 50 hours a week, but I pay school out of my pocket and support a house of 4 ( father doesn't live with us ) celi is fully paid but insurance in NJ is not US$30.00 lol . I could get a second car but I would be trying my luck with school payments and I don't wanna risk that.

I gotta chuckle out of that.

Should I use my Camaro, my Celica, or my TT?

Naw, mom's cavalier!

All I gotta say in nice TT, and enjoy it all while you can because when you get out into the "real" world, full of bills and rent or mortgage payments and other mouths to feed, you will LONG for the days of having the option to take the Celi, TT, Camaro or mom's cavalier!

Before you know it you'll be deciding if you should take that same Camaro (because you sold the Celi and the TT towards your down payment on the mortgage) or the mini van.

But hey, the mini van will fit the carseat and also has monitors in the headrest! woot.gif

What's that raised section on the front bumper that the licence plate is set into??????

That looks crap and ruins the aesthetic of the car. I've never seen that before, do all US TT's have that?

no tt's i have seen have it, mine the only one and it has a similar peice in the back bumper too...I like it, it gives contrast to the totaly rounded shape that it has...I suppose I could take the celi to SA guys, but it will have to be when its not hot outside as the AC is out..

so jealous...one of my favourite "odd" cars. maybe if i moved back in with my mom i could afford one too. my 85k$ only barely keeps up with the mortgage, wife, 2 kids, dog, 2 cars, clothing, food, utilities, insurances, upkeep, college funds, RRSPs...you getting this!!! live your youth to it's fullest man, strange days are a comin'

Well, its a MAN car compared to a celica LOL

Although its a bigger car, it acually handles pretty decently with the 245 width tires it has.....and well it easily walks on my friends RB20deT 240SX that my celica would only beat by 1 car......

But i miss the celica's fit and finish, quality feel....but the celica was limited in performance due to it being FF, Camaro has endless tuning capabilities but I already have the 67, and would like to get a 69 or late 80's IROC-Z camaro......so im selling this one for 3,500

I sold the camaro a couple weeks ago already......
So i used the money to buy parts for a full tune up on the TT...

ECS Ultimate timing kit...
The car is currently on life support as the sun went down and Im trying to find a way to stretch the belt so that I can slip it over the crank teeth...I tried the shoe horn thing but it broke the shoe horn!! frown.gif
The car has 57K miles on it, the original belt looked in good shape for it being 7yrs old already but my plastic water pump was broken and only half of the impellers were still on....leaving me digging out all the shards and chunks of plastic from the pump/t-stat cavity....
All the bearings and tensioners got done too as they came with the kit..

Installing new ceramic brakes on monday....
And sparkplugs will be switched out (appearantly, these are interchangeable with 3sgte plugs, so im debating on putting in the NGK BRK6E or the Denso IRidium IK20/...)
