Well yes and no, im trying to make the angel eyes too, I dont think christmas lights run off 12V, *correct me if im wrong* all I can find at radioshack is like 2.4 v unless they are red frown.gif if you find a good thing to use tell me. I bet real 12v led's would be brighter, course I think you could reduce the wattage going in and make em work, but it wouldnt be as nice/easy.

i was going to use 12v LED but they are 5 bucks a pop, i think that is over priced. but im probably going to have to get them anyway, nothing else will be as bright, except HID but that is way more expensive

go with the LEDs. They last longer and are brighter. Plus they are only a couple of bucks at radio shac.

Whenever I use leds for anything, like standard bulb conversions or whatever I'll go buy some APC licence plate screw lights. They are very bright and you can get them pretty cheap. Don't use the leds out of a set of washer lights though, they are not as bright. In order to get the led out of the screw you need to apply a little heat to the screw itself to get the glue hot that holds the led in. Once you get the led out be sure you don't cut the wire too short because the resister is on the power wire(could be negative i don't remember). Try to get a set of apc or optiplex because if you get the really really really cheap ones they won't be as bright. Advance auto usually has a set of either brand for a little over 5 dollars. Hope this helps.
