Hello my parking brake is shot in my 94 celica it is winter and time for some serious donuts!!!!! Just kidding. What is the best method for getting new shoes for the parking brake or a complete kit? Any idea on cost?

Thanks,

Brandon

You'll have to take the drum or rotor off and replace the shoes (if necessary).

If you just need to tighten it, take the center console out and tighten the nut.

if you need new cables too it will cost more, but if its just shoes, its like 20$ a shoe from the dealer i believe.. if you want them fast, buy from the dealer. if you want to wait.. buy from conicelli. I have a set of shoes back ordered from conicelli and its been 6 months.

well I just tried calling carquest, napa, and rockauto online no one even lists any parking brake shoes for the GT. Is there a way to order from Toyota online and have them sent to your house? I can't wait 6 months... Thanks.....

1sttoyotaparts.com

They're attached to a Toyota dealership, but their prices are excellent and their order processing is generally very quick. Plus shipping's only 10% of order total (minimum $8.95 IIRC).

here's an old pic I dug up with some part #s on it.

IPB Image

the part #s you want are the only ones not listed in the pic, I don't know why.

Here they are
RH
46550-33020
46540-20070

LH
46590-33020
46540-20070

these are the e brake shoe part #s for the GT.

Thanks for all the help guys. The best deal I can find is for $76 from 1sttoyota parts, that is still too much in my mind to pay so I guess I can wait. I am interested in purchasing them from conicelli. Does anyone know what they cost from him and how long? I will try to get ahold of him also. THanks....
I can't get ahold of him is he a listed member???

As a general rule, 1sttoyota is as cheap or cheaper than Conicelli -- they're both dealing in OEM.
