I am buying an Alpine- 45Wx4 iPod-Ready CD Deck. I'm wondering if the deck itself could clean up some of my radio static problems or if that is strictly bad wiring? I have never done this sort of installation before, so is there anything I could do to get a cleaner signal? Anything at all can help, thanks!

do you currently use the stock radio ?
aftermarket stereos generally have better more advanced tuners than the stock toyota one. Stations will come in clearer with a better tuner stereo. Does your antenna work ? does it go up and down like it should ? -------------------- |

I have an old pioneer premier. and who knows if the previour owner who put it in connected everything properly. My antenna works fine although since there was an XM module in the glove box he decided to make a toggle switch for the antenna. So I'm going to tie those two wires together and then properly put my deck in. Hopefully that will be all I have to do?
