I use movietyme.com. a lot cheaper than here in the UK, where we get ripped off for stuff maybe not so cheap for you guys?

In the stores in UK many PS3 games are £50 ($100) and Blu-rays are £25 ($50)

i can't beat that demon too.... but i know it'll be easier to keep shooting/slashing from the back.. then use devil's bringer's arm and grab, then shoot/slash again.

berial is pretty easy once you know what to do. use the devil bringer grab move to pull yourself to his head and slash. and grab again when you're about to land on the ground or if he's about to hit you. you can also slash him on the ground from behind. when you hit him enough times, he'll be all burned out and motionless. do a couple sword combos on him and then the devil bringer throw move before he starts moving again. i think i play the demo too much. i even beat berial in the 10 min mode. except i had to run away from some of the demon fights to save time. but yeah, can't wait for the game to come out.

heavenly sword-3 days to beat-AWESOME gAME. i'd recommend renting though. luckily i borrowed it, can't foresee paying $60 to play it for that short of time. and it's ONLY SINGLEPLAYER! only benefit of beating it is you unlock "Hell Mode". maybe i'll borrow it again and take 4 days to beat it. i think 9 hours total playtime due to going back for more glyphs. ended with like 90 or something like that.

i guess mgo is more of a hit or miss thing. its definitely different from your typical online shooter. which i think is a good thing. nothing wrong with fps games and what-not, but they're all pretty much the same. and i finally got a chance to play as snake today. love it.

Yep. I just can't stop. GTA IV is the game i've always wanted since like ~ back in the 80's when i had my Sinclair Spectrum! A game where you can do anything you want at any time an amazing piece of work!

It's pretty good. Not ground breaking, but pretty good.

I've heard there is a VERY long cut scene, like some ridiculous 60min or something, this true? How often are there cut scenes? This IMO is a horrible thing, I was really turned off by the games after Metal Gear: Solid on PS1 because of these annoying cut scenes.

to me... the mgs series has always felt like a movie where i have control over the main character. so the cutscenes can be pretty lengthy but are necessary for the story. plus they're not all talk and really awesome to watch. i don't know the actual lengths of each of the cutscenes, but i think i remember reading in a review that the longest one is like 30 mins? i don't know if i've seen that one yet cuz that last thing i look at is the clock when i'm playing this game. next thing i know, half the day has gone by.

i finished mgs4. awesome game. the final boss fight with liquid was pretty freakin sweet. and the boss fight with vamp was fun too. i wasted so much ammo and health before i figured out how to kill him. and the boss fight with screaming mantis was a lot like fighting psycho mantis from mgs1... except no controller port to switch and what-not so you also have to think about that fight. now i just gotta play it a hundred more times before i get tired of it. and not to mention online. definitely the game the ps3 was made for.

I really get tired of the idiots on the PS forums, they all seem fully retarded and all they do is complain. They demand in-game xmb for a year, then when it comes, all they do is complain about it before they've even used it!!!


Not sure what the deal is with the trophies thing, apparently most released games can be patched to work with them.... not many yet though.

I installed it fine yesterday and then used the machine for hours, no problems. in-game xmb works with everything i tried, all seems good to me

The game launch was a mess. I got it last Wed. and didn't get to play til Friday because of the massive server overload. They did a temporary server fix and it's sorta working now. But I'd wait to get it.

I just got it yesterday. I like it a lot and the play seems to be fairly decent. I just wish more of my friends had a PS3 to play it. The recoil is fine if you ask me, Just gotta roll it up from the chest a bit.

Do the servers jump a little bit every once in a while for you? Im wondering if its my net or just the servers

Yeah I'm learning the recoil. The game is more realistic based than the other socoms. You can't go and jump around and move back and forth to dodge bullets.

The servers do lag a bit, there will be a bit of jumpiness. They are working a lot better than they did a week ago but I still get freeze ups that cause me to restart my machine. The fact that I can't go and join my clan members games is VERY annoying. Unless I just don't know how but the obvious thing would be to just go to their name and click join game.

Quick swapping guns & grenades sucks. I have to re-do it often and I am just not a fan of the way that's setup. But the game is def. fun, it's grown on me a lot.

FarCry2 tomorrow for me yay.

Did you end up getting it? I rented it, 'twas okay. The vehicles are all slow and cut off at ~60 MPH, which is extremely annoying for the amount of territory that has to be covered.

Did Uncharted come with it though? The remote is overrated, it'd be cool if the controllers weren't wireless but I just use those and I'm fine. How many times are u going to touch it while ur watching a movie anyways?

FarCry2 tomorrow for me yay.

Did you end up getting it? I rented it, 'twas okay. The vehicles are all slow and cut off at ~60 MPH, which is extremely annoying for the amount of territory that has to be covered.

no i didn't get that either...

I did manage to "get" a free controller though. The guy was a _________ and a dumb _______ and wound up giving me 2 controllers so i kept my mouth shut.
