ok well ill tell you something that might make sense to you or not, say you take a peice of cr@p, you then take and chrome it, its still a peice of cr@p
i have had those 10's and i have to say they do not handle rated power they do take very large enclosers to sound even relitivley decent if you are looking at around 100$ i would look into the alpine type R's they are a good quality and get loud and do not need huge enclosures they are about 120$ for 12"s |

i wouldn't get them. do it right the first time. you won't regret it. i would def get a more respectable brand. right now i have a single 10" infinity in a sealed box that sounds pretty good (not loud but good) but i plan on upgrading to 1 or 2 alpine type R 10"s in a slotted box. the only reason why i have the infinity is cuz i got a really good deal on it. only 30 bucks new and shipped on ebay with a decent power rating. i do wish i got a better amp in the first place though. i got what i could afford at the time. power acoustik isn't that bad is it?

Haha why don't you want to hear from Jaws? These subs aren't that bad, however there are better choices out there for the price. This is obviously more of a flashy sub rather than specializing on performance and/or quality. I wouldn't call these subs crap though, as I know a lot of people running these and they do what they are supposed to do which is make bass, but ofcourse it's not SPL competion amounts of bass. Just make sure to match whichever subs you decide to get with an appropriate amp and enclosure. A good amp and box are just as important as the subs you choose.

stay away from audiobahn.... they can take a decent amount of power but sound quality and life is something that they lack. I would highly recommend alpine type R's

what i was saying is that it takes a really big box to make them sound good, and they really wont wanna take more than about 600 watts 900 would be too much for daily listening and music, i have had these and put that power to then and they get really hot really quick which is bad. type r's are a good place to start or you could look to spend more and get higher quality but its good to start with
