hey guys and girls, i've compiled a complete list of TRD parts for the 6th gen. If there are any that i've missed or any information i should add, feel free to post them or let me know and I will put them up..
..have a good read smile.gif

Important: All parts listed were recognized through the U.S. ToyotaWorld.com parts search engine and the following prices are in USD.
So these are the North American version part numbers of TRD Parts. Japanese TRD part numbers can be found at the link I provided at the end of this post.
Other genuine toyota parts sites are: Toyota Parts Cheap.com and 1st Toyota Parts.com if you want to compare prices.

Note: All parts have been identified correctly but have unconfirmed availability, so I'd suggest to verify with the parts dept before placing an order online.

more TRD parts can also be found from Valo666's thread (TRD Parts and #s)

1. TRD Front Strut Brace

BRACE ASSY,STRUT TOW
00602-53607-006

$154.89

Version 2
SHIFTER QUICK KIT
PTR04-20940-04
$166.44

Note: Not sure what the difference is between the two, but one of them will shorten the throw by 40% from stock.

Note: THIS ITEM IS DISCONTINUED

3. TRD Lowering Springs

Version 1
SPRING SET,LOWERING,
00602-48130-008
$196.34

Version 2
SPRINGS LOWERING SET

$201.40

Note: Not sure what the difference is between the two.

BRAKE PADS (Front)

yeah.. the part numbers that begin with PTR are the newer ones..

and about the 3pt strut bar, there's only one way to find out.. that's why someone who wants it should try to order it and let us know if it really is discontinued.

Hey Azian, you getting the trd shifter for this summer?

more likely.. now that the dollar is good (and i hope it stays that way if not better) i'll more likely get it..
i just hope it doesn't increase the force to shift too much.

nice write up...i actually ordered some parts from Toyotaworld back in August, and just a warning, some of these TRD parts are coming from japan. Ive been waiting since august 16th for my 3 parts to come in, and im actually on the phone with jeff from toyota world as im writing this trying to figure out when they are suppost to be coming in. Im gonna post some pics of the stuff i ordered when it finaly gets here. One of the parts i bought is actualy for an SW20 but TRD NZ claims it fits our car too, so ill let u guys know if they work.

EDIT: So, if you order TRD parts be expecting to wait around 7 months for them. My parts should b gettin into california on monday from japan, then gettin shipped to huston, then gettin shipped to me...so i should b gettin them about this time next month or sometime in the beggining of march.

Would anyone recommend a TRD Quickshifter kit over TWM Performance short shifter TWM Short Shifter (94-99) ? I want a shorter throw as well as a shorter stick because right now the stock one too long to have a sport feel to it and I'm not sure if the Quickshifter kit would do that for me. Thoughts?

TWM makes just the lever and you use your original base. The TRD one is engineered to just take your old entire shifter assembly out, and replace it with the entire TRD peice.

So the "lever" on the TRD peice would be shorter then the stock peice and not stick up so high?

i'm gonna go to the toyota dealership and see if i can get myself a TRD 3pt strut brace.
and the answer to your question is that the TWM short-shift kit will give you a shorter stick and shorten your throw by 35-40% as for the TRD Quickshift kit, is the entire assembly, it'll only shorten your throw but not shorten your stick. It's designed for racers who need to shift quickly but need the shorter throw than OEM and get their hand back onto the wheel right away.

Just to confirm the TRD strut bar part number is valid. I remember someone posting that it takes a long time for the TRD parts to arrive? Mine will be here Tuesday, so that doesn't seem too long of a wait to me.

how much did you pay? I think I might go order one now too. Did they say that there is a limited number left or anything like that?

I paid $240 which is about the same from Toyota world. I saved a few bucks. (yes Toyotaworld lists it as $223, but then add in the $19 shipping and it comes out to like $242) Idk what the wait is from Toyotaworld though, my dealership gave me an exact date the part will be arriving, they've always been good with that. For some reason though, it seems like the price of Toyota parts have gone up recently. They didn't mention anything about it being in limited quanities or having to have it ship in from Japan or anything. Ofcourse they didn't have it in stock, but I think a 4 day wait is very reasonable. It only took them 2 days to get my GTfour hood and all the grills in, I was amazed.
Valo mentioned that it took him 7 months to recieve TRD parts from Toyotaworld. That's just ridiculous! I guess maybe I get parts so soon because I order from Longo Toyota, the world's largest dealership?

just an update regarding my parts. 2 of the 3 things i ordered finaly came in, but the last one still hasnt come in from japan. So my order is standin on....7 months now. And thouse are for small peices from toyota world. But apparently one of the peices i ordered is going discontinued after this last shipment, so my order might not go through.

Anyone have any experience with that quickshift kit? Any opinions on it as opposed to stock?

I want a TRD knob, plus I was looking into a short shifter, looks like that would solve both of my problems.

Give em hell. I gave them the part number at my local one and they had it here in a mere 3 weeks. Don't let those turkeys try to hose you! You fight for your emblem!

That's the only one to go to. That's Champion and they have everything. But you do need the part number cuz they won't find it otherwise.

I'd love to get one soon because I have to replace both the front bumper and passenger side fender due to them being bondo'd together, and they're cracking where they meet.

someone said that it was discontinued.. but if you can try contacting JapanParts.com as they still have it listed on their site.
if you can get a hold of one, it won't be cheap.

I don't know if this holds true anymore but I assume it does but there is a difference between the Red and White TRD Oil filters:

http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/parts/toy...ters/index.html

FWIW, I'm going to buy the TRD Japan (RED) Oil filter.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-Toyota-...sQ5fAccessories

oh ya those trd steering wheels you can find one on rpmgarage for about $3,000. the cost of an engine swap!!!
http://www.rpmgarage.com/new/detail/?tid=6330

i personally like the 3 post steering wheel that is found on jdm celicas, supras and mr2. they have better design than trd wheel.

enjoy!!

The TRD steering wheel is really nice and sturdy. I bought it from RPM garage a year or two agao. Luckily it only cost me $600 back then brand new from him. It was still expensive to me at the time, but I was crazy and wanted it.

USDM TRD
version1: 00602-17801-001
version2: PTR05-06990-01

JDM TRD

how loud is the decibal rating on the ST202 TRD Exhaust. Here is a used one on nengun Performance. I think I prefer the look over the Large HKS HI power Muffler.

many European and Japanese Members that buy TRD Coilovers (which can be found in used condition off nengun auctions) often switch to different spring rates for hardcore track use.

Dampening rates between SS2, SS3 and GT4 Front TRD Coilovers are the same. The rear gt4 trd coilovers have a stiffer dampening rate due to the extra weight of the rear end.

Celica Members often switch they're springs to stiffer ones made by Swift because Swift Coilover springs are very well made. Here is a list of different spring rates that can be applied to the 4 way adjustable trd coilovers:

Front: 10kg, 12kg, 14kg, 16kg. and for the Rears: 8kg and 10kg

These different spring rates info was borrowed from the TRD Website.

wow 200 dollars for TRD lowering springs. thats pretty good right? becuase the aftermarket name brand ones cost alot more.

yeah i wish i this was up before i bought my trd springs haha. spent an extra 100 dollars but i think its worth it.
