The result is the RMM Ultimate Celica . The car started life as a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S in FWD form . The end result was a raging 4wd monster . The engine and driveline came from the ST-205 Celica GT-FOUR , and was then shoehorned in . This is a classic example of what Toyota "should" have made . The engine whipped out 500 bhp [372.9kw[ at 8000rpm and 460.9nm [339.9ftlbs] of torque at 5500rpm . Around the 19"x8.5" wide wheels on each corner is 245 / 35 - 19" rubber and inside that is 312mm disks for some serious stopping power .
The end result is facinating ! ![]() that car is f*ckin sick...wish toyota wouldnt have sucked it up when they were designing these..the fron is ugly as hell but the rear is sexy...but with 500 awd brake hp who is complaining?? -------------------- ![]() I"M NOT A TOYOTA FAN, IM A FANATIC 1984 accord hatch 5 speed (T-Belt)-Junkyard 1991 VDUB jetta wolfsburg Ed. 5 speed (clutch)-junkyard 1988 Dodge Aries K (sold) 1969 Chevy El camino - Traded for celica 1991 Dodge Daytona-Traded for Celica 1988 Chevy Camaro-Work in Progress 1989 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 - For Sale 1995 Toyota Celica-Work in Progress |

anything above 250 whp is useless on the streets. toyota doesn't need a super car that comes highly tuned from the factory and costs an arm and leg just to lease. they need something rwd/awd, with decent power but good tuning potential, and for less than 30k. it doesn't have to be 250 stock. just needs to have potential to reach some good numbers, depending on what the driver wants and how much he/she is willing to spend on it.

ok...well how many people need a 600+hp vette? they still are going to sell quite well..and are putting out incrediable numbers...for under 80k...it's all about your taste and what you want...im sure they could easily fine tune a celica like the one above pushing 500bhp and sell it no problem....and a 500hp awd celica would probably beat a c7 vette in the quarter mile...and you could easily sell the celica for a lot less then the vette....btw...brake horse power is how they measure it...or also known as power the motor is putting to the crank..instead they use a water brake and get thier numbers that way

isn't the reason they stopped selling the gt4 in the US because they couldn't sell them? it was just too expensive. hell the 6gc was expensive just for the gt model. that's one of the reasons not many people have them. i do think it's sad but the fact of it all is that it wasn't a profitable car. also what happened to the 7gc vert? got cut because there wasn't as much of a market for them and it would cost more to mass produce then they could earn.
car companies lose money on sports cars because they aren't economical and most people could care less what there car looks like or how fast it is. as long as it gets them where it needs to go. that's why toyota stopped any and all production sports cars for a few years. the sportiest thing they have out right now is probably the tc and it's still not a sports car. maybe with the l-fa (whatever it's called) will break that trend. -------------------- |

It's difficult to compare a vette to a celica. Mainly because of the image of the car. The celica simply does not interest a lot of the older people who purchase corvettes. Just because of the way it would make them appear. The celica is a car meant mainly for the younger generation. And it basically works out like this. If your young enough to look good in that car, then you can't afford it, get something that suits you better. If you can afford that car, then your way too old for it, get something that suits you better. It just simply wouldn't sell. They couldn't even sell the Alltrac very well in the US. Which is why we don't get them anymore. They've tried it, it failed, they've learned from it.

ok well what if your older and you cant afford a vette but you like the style of the imports..i see a lot of the older generation driving around in 350's, infinit g35 coupes, supras and even gsx eclipises...its still a matter of taste....not all old people can afford 80k vettes....if toyota made a celica like the one above...with maybe not as radical of numbers and more streetable...something to hang with an evo and sti...from the factory im sure it would sell better...and if mitu****ty and suburu can mass produce a very streetable fast car and sell it well wnough to keep it in production and toyota can't then theres something wrong there.... i think they should just redo the whole body style when/if they come back out with it...an awd celica that keeps up with an evo will def. sell....im sorry....now will it sell in the older generation as much as the younger? proably not...i dont see too many 40 and 50 year old dudes drivin sti's and evo's...but they are out there...anyway the point of the post was caus i thought it was a sick lookin car...never seen a 7th gen like that before.....its good stuff...the guy that had that built is older and prolly has millions...just thoguht id share

I'm actually laughing uncontrollibly inside at the fact that this car was not produced, will never be produced and is something that should have been discussed 5 years ago and not now when the celica isn't even in production at all anymore. People, get over it, and look elsewhere. Toyota has no plans to release an above 300hp Celica ever. So go build your own and be happy with what you've accomplished instead of going out and buying something built from the factory. ![]() -------------------- |

Give it some time. I am sure Toyota will end up putting something out there. Mazda is going to try and out do themselves by making something to rival their precious RX7 (Because we all know RX8 isn't better than the RX7). Rumors of the new supra... In America.... Toyota is dominating the market. They really could afford to put out a high performance car. I see Supras with way too many miles on them selling for as high as $30k. At any rate, I have noticed honda slowly fading as more of Toyotas economical vehicles taking off and sweeping the streets. Seriously. Civics? Accords? Going down, while Camrys, Corollas, and Scions on the rise.
If I said something that didn't make sense or sounded retarded prior to the sentence "In America...." Please disregard. I am very sick with a fever and very tired. Yet I just wanted to say my piece of mind. Thanks ---Faust -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
