Pitt meet, march 2008 Options

1st pitt meet is March 29th, 2008,

IF RAIN WE WILL MEET APRIL 5TH!!!!

*We will be meeting at VIP parking lot between 11Am-12Pm.

I don't know the exact address but for anyone who needs them to get there the street is corrigan dr. south park, pa.

*After we all meet up I'm aiming to get on a high way and get a cruise going so we can get some pics and video of all the cars. I am almost sure TiGa would be up for shooting photo's of all the cars. If some of you want we can also do roll by's like in past years!

*Dinner is an option afterwards depending what everyone wants to do. or we can cook out at a park and play a little football

*Last option we can goto waterfront and hang out at the stacks

lets kick it off right.

95st, if you wanted to meet somewhere, like on the turn pike @ a rest stop friday night and drive out together that would be cool, im going into oakland area (squirrel hill, shadyside area i think?) to stay myself so we would have the same route pretty much.

anyone else who wants to head out from the philly or eastern regions of the state should come. if a hotel is needed can get a few rooms at a holiday inn select in oakland (town that university of pittsburgh is in) for cheap.

Rob, you need to update your first post with who will be 100% attending (Make a list of people). So we know who to expect. Keep the very first post updated with any new info! So nobody misses any new plans or times for the meet.

Steve, toss the excuses it is time for you to make a meet. It only costs few dollars of gas and few dollars to eat. You have not been at a meet in forever!

Jason,I still work on cars and swaps and things you just got to catch me when i am not tied up.

This is how it sits right now, flywheel and clutch plates are also on but the throwout bearing is not cooperating, depends on how fast dr tweak can help me, looks as of right now i'll be in the 95 GT for the meet. i guess we'll see... i'm also down for 2 meets a month

so i did an estimate head count from pittspeed and there are around 15-20 coming. im not too excited over it b/c most of the people have stangs and camaros which i dont really like

pretty much every time ive been to pitt, some clown in either a riced out crx (or car of the sort) has been doing burnouts on the beltway or whatever it is with their fart can, or some idiot in a muscle car was "drifting" while they spun out... so my view on the car scene of the area isint too high =/

i just hope these guys fit in with the 6gc genre and not the typical pea brained muscle car/ricer crowd

well it seems as if alot of the people on pittspeed are morons and thought the meet would be at the waterfront. even though the title, and damn near every page states that it is at VIP. id say 5 or so have backed out and are pushing for the waterfront

Just tell the pittspd people we will meet them later on at the WF. And they can do their own thing early on. Just get a cell number from someone who will be down there with them so we can arrange meeting up.

I can tell you what it looks like...
Really big parking lot about football field size that has 2 entrances from the 4 laned (corrigan road?)
the lot slopes away from the road downhill and it has a little shop on the one end of it i think an old ice hockey rink on the other. Has a huge wall with big gates(above say VIP) like a castle would have on the left looking from road. if you drive past it and look inside the fenced in area you will see a go-cart track and some mini golf i think is also in there?
