Okay, pics are coming on sunday.

As most of you know, i'm a new dad, and any existing dads would know; baby's are a pain in the hassle when your doing somthing and they need constant attention. ESPECIALY durring feeding time, right?

So i've built a "Baby Self Feeder" And i'm going to fiberglass it over this weekend; so that it's 100% safe. Just gotta burp her when it's done.

BAM!

Baby feeding time just turned into 20 minitues of supervising fairly-free time.

Because i'm a fcuking genus. laugh.gif

no, it holds any bottle you put in it, and is suspended from the top of her "bouncy-chair" mobile. I've built a locking mechinism to keep it from bouncing on the stand of the mobile, Then i've devised this self feeding item, that hangs from the arch of the mobile, Completely secure.

It Also swings&piviots so that if baby turns her head or spits the bottle out, it goes out, plus there is a small spring attached to a second arm that slowly pulls the bottle away from the baby if she isnt drinking the bottle.

So it feeds her by herself, and if she stops feeding for any reason, the bottle automaticly moves back about 6 inches or so as to not be in the baby's face.

i should patent it, but if sold, someone will leave the baby alone with it and if an accident occured, than i'd be sued. You still have to watch the baby, no amout of feeders, cariers, or other crap can keep you from being responsible for you own child. lol.

That's why it's called PARENTal Supervision laugh.gif

Hey, Look; as an existing mom, you already know that 20 minitues to eat your OWN food is a luxuary that you dont get. Mommy is happy because she now has a window of opertunity to GRUB DOWN lol, without having to interupt her dinner (provided that we eat fast) And most already know that once i start on a plate of food, there is no stopping the machine. lol.

So we finaly get to eat without play "hot patato" with the baby and plates.

I never said this was a way to pawn off the baby, just a way to free up your hands for a few min.

i'd build a booby holder, but i cant design one that dosen't require my own hands tongue.gif

Besides, i'm not building a line of baby products people, lol. I'm just fabricating "mommy free-time"

That may be the only benifit to being stuck with me, is that i can design and build whatever we cant afford...

I wish i had pics of my old trailer, before i moved to katy. It was insane. I had a 2 story garage attached to it. (second story was a game room) And the living room was a movie theater. lol. had a tv mounted into a fiberglass stand that held the xbox and game cube; just it was crazy ya'll.

Can't wait to get out of this freakin apartment, so i can get back to my work.

Keep in my what i'm saying is all MY OPINION.

This is by far the most retarded thing i've EVER heard of.

I swear people should have to fill out paperwork in order to have children.

Children are work PERIOD. If you are that lazy then you shouldn't have children. A child is not a dog that you can get an automatic feeder for. What if he spits up? What if he chokes and you're in another room having selfish you time. I think when you have a child you give up a lot of your free time. I'm sure it sucks sometimes but trying to invent ways to get out of spending time with a baby and feeding it seems very inhumane to me. Children require attention and love shoving them in an automatic feeding chair does not give them either of those things.

I could go on all day about why this is retarded, but to keep myself from becoming too insulting i'll stop here.

NO NO, i agree with you; ...mostly...

I am not saying that you can put the baby in this thing and walk away. NO! you can not, the baby must be right next to you, just like if you put the baby in a play crib, or in one of those roller chairs, you Still gotta watch the baby. You dont leave the baby by itself, plus when the bottle is empty you still have to burp the baby. (haven't invented a burper yet.. lol, just kidding.)

And people like me dont really have any busniess with a baby, but here we are... lol. Love her to death, but man, we gotta eat sometime.

And supersprint: "eye Kant Spel rite" laugh.gif

I'm a master of fabrication, not lititure. lititure.... lit.... Wrighting!

well, not the master like the guy in starwars, or a master like He-Man... A master like... like, uh.... ya know? rolleyes.gif I just like inventing things. That's all. Just some old dope that has fun with his hands.

*EDIT* inregards to the baby, you NEVER leave a baby by itself. i dont care what contraption you got it in. And Babys ARE work. LoL. They are.... They are... and their also not about to let you sleep either frown.gif

I think it's actually a pretty good idea. I get what you're saying about it not being a device to allow you to be lazy or just leave you're child alone so you can do whatever. That is NEVER a good idea. I am curious to see what it's going to look like and how it actually works..powered by electricity..?

No electricity, nope.

I thought it would be a good idea to run a positive current to a motor constant (+) on and a negative (-) current from the battery source to the baby's toe so that it transfered the current to a wire on the bottle to the motor to hold or move the bottle; But a baby isnt a chassis so i decited not to do that.... laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

KIDDING im just KIDDING!!

no, electricity seems like a bad idea with a baby. Although i have got a great idea to run a cheap-o head unit to the storoler to run off of a bike generator on the wheel; using a small 12v batt to retain charge. But it'd still needs speakers frown.gif I have the rest of the stuff laying arround.

Cant wait till baby gets old enough for her first "power-wheels" I understand cars, it's being bottles and changing diapers that i dont understand. Think i'm getting the hang of it though. tongue.gif

babys are work but you know what? when they get to be 5 ish your going to regret saying come on hunny say something! Da da!

hailies mouth never stops smile.gif shes ms talking queen! Its cute when she sings tho lol

i think it is a good idea as long as the baby is never left alone! especially parents with younger children, you rarely get a break....try having an infant and still going to school/work THATS FREAKIN hard on your system, but you love em anyways!!!

as for power wheels....omg hailie loves driving, ive got her brainwashed as to what is a good car and what isnt, she can spot out mazda, toyota, honda, pontiac and ford...shes getting better everyday....shes going to have her first car built before she can drive it wink.gif

I CANT WAIT!

I can see this being a good idea when you're trying to eat dinner or something, then you can all eat together! I know that especially in those first few months, it's damn near impossible to get an actual meal in.

Anyway, D-Man is a genus too, Eric. laugh.gif (even if he can't spell for sh*t)

now that i think of it...

everything has made our world easier...

just one example

bread maker

ppl back in the day would be like WTF!!! why make your bread in a bread maker?!!?

same thing with everything else....thats why our society is gettting lazier and obese faster and becoming dependant on other things to live our daily lives....thats how inventors make a living....what can i produce that will make ppl happier and make things more effiecient/faster?

Never the less it was IS a cool inventive idea and you can show us when your done...props/kudos

but with the way things are going...

we wont have to wipe our own asses in 1000 years !

just an example!!!

Meet the Parents - and that was funny. weird sh*t - this is the second time in two days people referenced that movie on this site and I just watched them 2 days ago and they are not really my type of movie [funny tho].

D-man - Dinero invented a strap on set of boobs that held a bottle so the baby would be more comforted while he fed them - not really like the Stewie thing

Oh man, i forgot rolleyes.gif Sorry, I'll post when i get home.

And I am well aware that my spelling sucks. It's this damn mozilla firefox spell check. I wish Windows would implement a program to use their spell check with it... or an upgrade on the spell check. I type somewhere around 170's WPM (on a reg. day), and I don't have the highest accuracy percent....

Plus most of my post are done at work, and i'm just throwing out a thought, and i have to have it posted before my boss walks by wink.gif so i fire up a post and post it. This post probably has taken me 15-20 sec...

Just my 2 cents...

1. Make sure you are within arms reach of the baby at all times. It only takes a few seconds for a baby to choke and suffer from brain damage.

2. Bottle propping is frowned upon in the medical field and will cause your little one to have many ear infections. The formula/breast milk will pool in the back of the throat and enter the inner ear canal.

3. You have a higher risk of your wee one to develop tooth decay causing the adult teeth to come in crooked.

I've got two kids now...one still on the bottle and I always put my children before myself. If that means I eat cold food or wait to eat till they are in bed then so be it...just something else that comes with parenting.

I wouldn't necessarily call you lazy as it is a good idea...but there are already things out there that do this same thing. The big target is mothers of twins/tripplets where they need to feed more than one child at a time. Click Here for a link to the website.

i got some idea's for improvement on your contraption. how about instead of a single bottle you hook the nipple up to a 1 gallon of milk. So you baby can drink all they want.

Second even better idea!!!! why not add compressed air to your bottle, so the baby drinks faster. What normally takes 20minutes will get done in *BAM* 5 second! HEY! you need to burp the baby anyways...

==========================================

OK now for the serious part:

have you thought about how this affects your baby?

You do know babys brain developes before its born. It starts hear and recognize its mothers voice.
When your feeding the baby, its a special bonding time. For the baby to develope mental attachments to you.

Okay people... I didn't get home till late last night; And that camera was the last thing on my mind... So i've made this, it's a quick idea of how this thing works.

IPB Image

Now, No i'm not going to super-size the bottle then force induct it. No this thing is not a baby-sitter, no you do not leave the babys side. I've stated this time and time again. I simply built this thing based on the design that my gal had when she was a baby because we couldn't get her old one from El Salvador. This product already exists people. Where do you think i got the idea? It never said that i invented the wheel.

The point of this post was to bring attention to the fact that things that you learn; can be applied in several different medium. EX: i learned to fiberglass because I've always had busted ass cars; I've utilized this ability to create things that would otherwise be expensive and cost several hundred dollars to ship international. When you build something with your own 2 hands; more care and love go into it than whipping a VISA card at it...

I didn't expect to attract this many flamers... I'm going to have to ask you all to put your rainbow flags away laugh.gif.

It's okay; i will request that this post be deleted; as it wasn't as 6g related as some off topic items are. But i will continue to build things for my child thru-out the years. Go-Carts, Tree-Houses, Doll-Houses, Bike ramps, whatever~ This was the first thing that happened to come along for me to build at my wife's request. She wanted to get her old one from El Salvador, and i decided to replicate it so that my little girl had her own. I will continue to do what i love to do for the ones i love.
