how much will a new set of TEIN S.Tech and KYB GR-2s drop after the break-in period? how long is the break-in period? it has been suggested that i have another alignment done after the break-in period. is this absolutely necessary or just precautionary?

thanks for the input.

peace.

doubt you need another alignment. just keep your eyes on the degree the wheel is going once in a while.

as for the break in period it depends on the roads you travel on. i say maybe...MAYBE 4 months

depends on the load of the car and the road conditions.

if you want to break in the suspension sooner, load your car up with people and go on a road trip.

Even though your camber would not change much when your car settles it would not be a bad idea to get a alignment. Because with our cars, if the ride height changes, so does camber.

I have teins s-techs on oem.....works fine for me. For a good month or so people got me thinking that my 18in rims were too big for my suspension set-up and I believed them too because I could hear a poping noise, but in the end it turned out that one of my lug nut came off therefore making my wheel shake.

Mine are already settled and the drop is not bad.....yeah everyone is correct...about 1.5" drop in the front and 1" in the back. Whether oem or kyb.....really can't tell the difference for me...although better chance of not getting dead struts with kybs and may drop a little lower than oem.

Alignment is always an issue when dropping your car....I need one this spring and as far as chamber yes it does come with it. I've only seen nissan 240s with negative offsets, but "us" fwd cars being dropped have the 38-40+ offset creating chamber.

Anyone able to shine some info on how to adjust chamber as I know that kyb's and other cheap struts cannot alter chamber settings.....
