Not sure what happened but wouldn't add my text to my post.
Long story short I found a '93 GT w/ only 64k on the motor for $500 (yes the car is about 2ft shorter in the back) maintanence records prove it only has 64k on it w/ timing belt changed in '05 @ 54k. Funny part is the lady who bought it traded in her '78 Celica for it With that said I am replacing the usual stuff including the oil pump. I know in the past several individuals had a hard time priming it. A good friend who is a mechanic recommended priming it with the moly grease used when rebuilding an engine or some other petrolium based lubricant (vaseline etc). I can see how this would work in theory, though I must admit I am a bit hesitant as the grease is much thicker than oil and can't help but think of something going "Knock Knock" Who's there? "KABOOM!" So any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. -Terra -------------------- '92 ST185, '88 ST165, '05 Galant LS, '08 Legacy
