which would rally humanity to admit its faults and live forever in peace? an indefatigable superhero to punish evildoers or extra-terrestrials that would dominate us and force us to get along with the threat of annhiliation (sp?)?

dont matter.

Mankind fights amongst one another untill something more threatening comes along. Then we get along, long enough to kick it's ass.

So super hero or alien, It would only last as long as it takes us to kill it. biggrin.gif

a super-hero if you look @ any given one only controls a portion of the world, and "mainly" concentrates on larger criminals...aka an arch-nemesis.

they would never be able to bring peace to all of humanity, its just not what they do.

An enslaving alien invasion wouldn't work either cause we'd attempt to kill them, or kill those that joined them, till we extinct ourselves.

Speaking of which - did anyone see that a child corrected NASA's Near Earth team on a near earth object's collision probabilty factor?
Nice - and these are the guys who are paid the big bucks to make sure some Armegedon type sh*t doesn't happen and to figure a way to repulse any object likely to hit us? I feel safer already kindasad.gif

Although the above comments are mostly correct in my opinion, human nature is a little to uncontrollable/free sperited that any outcome would either not last or only cause a bigger divide.

although if I had to chose, it would be aliens, people would to quickly associate a super hero with a religious figure IMO and since religion (stated very loosely) is a huge source of differences in opinions that cause fights it would ultimately cause a bigger divide (one persons superhero is another’s arch enemy etc.) aliens I think would stand a better chance as they would probably have a technology far beyond our own that fighting them would prove useless thus joining them would be the only option.

E.T. come here.

And um, go jedis. (Is that a light-saber num chuck?)

So lets say it was some mighty being like Superman...

so like the cathloics would be like "Go Jesus!!.... in .... those tight.... blue ..... spandex?"

Then the jews would scream "Ha-hah, your Jesus is gay"

And the Boudaist's would say "Narvianian crap, How'd he get so skinny?"

and then... oh i better stop before i piss someone off...

im gonna go with the alien race... if they just go ahead and reform the worlds politics and make some type of super government that has a working check & balance system, then benefit those for being peaceful and helpful to society, and hindering those who harm it (welfare leeches, criminals, etc...)

and i dont think it would be that hard to prove nasa wrong. i would imagine that once you get a job there, all that cramming you did to be smart enough to get the job you start to forget, and you spend more time on addicting games than actually deducing new theories and such.

haha my goal to that was to set the world back to the 40's as far as politics go, minues the cold war, n world wars n all that stuff.

but yea... they either need to set some type of ultimatum over there, or just let it be, cuz if they dont, its just gonna go back to how it was as soon as the troops leave.

aliens for the win. That would disprove for sure all this Religious mumbo jumbo and people would actually think outside the box and would allow to see a bigger picture. But thats just what i think.
