I'm definitely down for this. Hopefully WALKER and the other guys will make it as well.
We shoot get a photo shoot done as well with all the cars together, would be nice especially with 6gsillyca's car.

Does anyone have any suggestion of cruise destinations? Is anyone even up for a cruise?

Hopefully I can get my skirts put on before we meet up.

Are you upgrading from an ES? I am looking for a beginner DSLR and the xti seems nice, but i've heard not so great things about the es lenses that are usually included.

i cant wait to see 6gsillycas projectors with proper cutoff. the turbos you guys are rocking are going to be sick also. i went from ef lenses to ef-s lenses. ef-s lenses are good besides the one that comes with the camera (18-55mm).if you dont like the new ef-s, the xti is fully backwards compatible. just multiply the mm by 1.6 and you are set.

Actually my projectors aren't "proper" cut-off. Because I didn't cut my "shield" to wrap around enough, there is a pach on the left side that is "un-cut" creating a blindspot, but other than that it is better than it was.

BTW congrats with the projector purchase David.

Hey thanks. The projectors I bought look really nice, just not sure when I am going to get around to installing them. For now they are sitting in the garage with the many other parts I have been collecting for the past couple years. Hopefully in the next little bit I will finally do a bunch of stuff to the car, just have been way to busy lately.

Anyways, when do you guys want to get together for a meet? I am busy for the rest of May, but my June is looking pretty free.

How does 11AM sound for time?

And for meeting place....any suggestions?

I was thinking either deerfoot mall or deerfoot medows, but if anyone else has an idea, please post up.

Probably looking like we will meet up, maybe go for lunch and then pics. Pic locations so far are SAIT p-lot, or crecent heights.

Hey Corey, David!

I'm out in Airdrie now (moved from the NW)... and I have to pick up my new rims and tires Saturday night, so my ride is a big piece of **** right now. I would love to get together w/ you guys though.

Also I think I'm having a wiring problem, I swapped out my battery for a new "Ultima" red top battery, but it doesn't seem to hold a charge. frown.gif

Where did you guys get your Projectors from? David, did you end up finding JDM tails too?

Jeremy, is there anything wrong with your current set of wheels? you should still try to make it, another 6gc would be nice, whether it's rockin steelies or 20" dubs.

Get your alternator checked. I don't think it would be your battery. I have a redtop aswell and it holds up just fine. You could even check it with a miltimeter. Should be 14.4V

My current tires are bald - and the entire car is an eye sore. I would be ashamed to take pics with your nice cars and have my junker in them... lol, UNLESS we take alot of "REAR" pics... tongue.gif Then I might be down... hahaha.

Is there anyway we could move the meet to Sunday? Hahaha - I would have my new rims on by then... smile.gif

Anyone have a Multimeter I could borrow - or a parts car I could tear the Alternator out of... (I thought it might have been my alternator, but thought it was too much of a coincidence because of the battery swap)

I like curvacious rears. Rear pics are fine with me.

I have both sat/sunday free at ATM, but am planning to do something on the non meet day, so if everyone else can do sunday then it's fine with me.

I have a multimeter around somewhere. If you can bring your car, I can try and find my meter.

I think you should be ok. Even if you get it done on monday, you should be ok to drive around for a day (its not like your takin it to the track or doing anything overly strenuous).

I have been riding around on my 18" gold rims for the past year, and I was going to get an alignment when I picked em up, but still haven't gotten around to it yet. No ill effects that I've noticed to date.

Hey guys, only Saturday will work for me this weekend. Don't worry about what the cars look like, it's just good to get together and meet. The cars never look perfect, at least not mine since there is always more projects that I have that are unfinished. I have been driving around without any interior door panels on for a couple months now, and hope to get them on before the meet.

Anytime to meet works. 11AM sounds good, then grab some lunch?

Sounds good. If it matters at all, I have a spare set of 17" 5x100 rims w/ rubber. If you can't get yours, and if you wanted, you could swing by my house friday night/sat morning and I can lend them to you for a day...

Crecent is just up past the centre st. brige. There is a street, that overlooks DT core. Makes for nice pics.

Do you need directions at all?

Let's say the lot in the NE corner, by the sportchek and the walmart. 2nd entrance off of 64th. On the map it shows as a triange.

64th ave & 11st ne.

Well guys I am sorry, but I might not be able to make it for sat.

Driving today, heavy throttle, something in the engine blew off. Thick black cloud out the back, no power, then it died on me. Started it up, and it starts spweing gas from my one of my injectors. It looks like one of them blew out of the rail. Not sure how or why. I think I have another boost leak somewhere in the piping, but its hard to tell for sure because of the air leak form my injector. If I can't get her running good again, I think i'm going to have to pass on this meet.

Sorry guys, hopefully it still works out.

Sorry to hear about the problems.

Well I will be at the Deerfoot Mall at 11AM on Saturday, looking forward to it!

Definately we will have to do another meet in July or August.

Well it looks like I'm good for tomorrow again. GF and I pulled the fuel rail out and put the injector stay back on. Seems to run fine now.

So no meet then? I just finished putting my new rims on my car... Do you still have the green monster Corey?

I say the meet stays; but we just change the location to Corey's place and we fix an engine, order some Za and play rockband. LoL.

Is everyone else still willing to go?? Brian? Danny? Sinyk? CALGARY??

Yea it turned out not half bad. Too bad black13 and projek weren't able to make it.
Good turnout none the less. More cars than the 3 David, outsider and me had a few years ago when we got a meet going.

I'll try and get some pics up later tonight, but a warning, I have no idea how to photoshop anything so if you want your plates blured I'll have to send them to Jeremy or David to do that.

I wanted to rip 'er too, but I was more worried about blowing some piping off or something. I hadn't had a chance to check everything again (after putting it back together and driving around a bit). I also have a few vac leaks I need to find/fix because when I go into neutral my idle drops down to 300 and it feels like its gonna stall out.

BTW my GT is NIPWNAGE. Feel free to add me up, and jam some COD4.

I'll have to check my schedule, which I won't know for a while. I'm in Calgary for the co-ed softball world series, and last year, the schedule was crazy. Almost constant ball all day.

Hey guys - the last time we got together you had mentioned a decent powder coating company in Calgary that corey used on the 3SGTE piping; could someone refresh my memory? I need to get quotes done for some headers that are on their way...
Also - anyone know a great place to get some custom piping done for exhaust?

Top Gun Coatings for the powder coating. I can't remember the name of the place that is recommended for exhausts. I will try and search through my topics on beyond to let you know.

Yea, David was right, I had my piping done at Topgun coatings. Although for headers/exhaust parts you should get it ceramic coated over powdercoating, as ceramics are rated at a much higher temp rating.

As for exhaust, if yo are just looking for something "generic" custom I would recommend Carline mufflers. I don't know how custom you want to go (ie 3" SS mandrel bent w/ SS cat etc), but they should be able to do a good crushbent mild steel exhust for a decent price.

As for a meet, lets try and set a date and I'll try and get insurance put back on. I've been busier this summer than I had originally anticipated for, and little things with the car have kept me from driving it a whole lot (I haven't gone through my winter storage tank of gas yet...), so I took the insurance off for now. If we can set a date, I will try to get the car back together w/ insurance for that time period.

Yea, its been a few months since I've had a chance to browse the forums. I haven't had a whole lot of free time lately, like I said I hadn't even had the chance to go through my tank of gas from last winters storage. Right now I'm in the process of re-doing the brakes because they squal like a banshee. I guess I didn't put enough anti-squeal spray on. The 2 hour job it should have been has taken me almost 2 months, and I'm only done half the car...

Sweet - David and I got the rear suspension done out at my place last weekend - I ordered a set of Tanabe DF210's; and we also installed the GTFour Rear Strut Bar. Looks good so far. tongue.gif

Danny, when are you going to be getting your car back? I don't know about going all the way down to David's/Jeremy's to do brakes, but if you want to come up the hill we can do/finish them at my place.

Actually I need to do the brakes on my RSX too, so if anyone has a free day, let me know and maybe we can get some beer/pizza/brakes/rockband/cod4 goin.

Jeremy's in Airdrie. We can go anywhere though. Could also bring tools to your place.

I know he is in Airdrie, but my car is up on stands right now, and I don't have driving insurance. Danny lives down the hill from my place.

I have a bunch of tools, just nothing air, all my tools are hand/cordless.

The only thing I can think of that we might need if we are going to be working 2 sets of cars, is another pair of stands. I only have 3 pairs.

New axles? Front or rear? You can get these at NAPA/auto value for pretty cheap. It would probably be a bit quicker than ordering off toyota world.

Would either David or Jeremy be interested in coming up North to do some brakes (and axles if we get them) in the next week or so?

I would be interested - just have to run it by the "boss" first to see if we have anything planned for whatever day you'd like to meet.
