 Electrical lights on a/c fan consol |

The small l.e.d lights that are inside the a/c and fan consol, have stopped working when i turn on the car headlights. The ones telling what function is on still work, but the background lights so you can see all the buttons at night have stopped. any idea how to sort it? a light swift tap made them work when it started playing up seemed to work, but now nothing!!
