so last night I had a little bit of a mishap, battery died windows open and rain pouring in, we tried jumping it and it just wouldn't quite get there, then all of a sudden my horn just starts blasting and wouldn't shut up, we take off the jumper cables and it quits, but now I have no power to anything... The battery is completely charged, but there is no power inside the car, no radio, no clock, no windows, nothing.. The courtesy lights come on but thats it, I NEED HELP!!! this is my DD!!
What I was thinking was the security system, alarm??? Like powering everything down cuz it thought it was being stolen??? That is the only thing I can think of i need help ASAP!!

well the good news, I got my car started the bad news I still have no dash no clock, no radio, no windows... I read on another posting that somebody had the same problem and they found out it was their 100 amp fuse or something??? I don't even know where that is.. I'm guessing in the fuse box under the hood?? I have large fuse that says 100 A on it or something is that it?? And if it is how the heck do I get it out!?!??! It just doesn't wanna come out!

ok.. Well I have the problem fixed now.. It was the 100 amp Alternator fuse.. Idk how to replace it exactly and the fuse is in a million pieces now but it works, I'll get it figured out.

Problem completely fixed. Blew a couple fuses, the 100 amp alt fuse being the most important one. I feel like a BAMF. I'm close to one of the dumbest people when it comes to cars, but I'm coming along slowly!

I think I have the same problem. Often times, as I'm starting my car, I lose all power. Everything! So i pop the hood, thinking that it could only be that the battery cable is probably loose, I jiggle it around a bit and i check the inside for signs of power and its there.

But now it is happening more frequently. Could it be the 100amp fuse?

When this happened to me, it had to do something with when we tried to jump it. Some surge blew like 4 fuses. the 100Amp fuse being the most important. I had to reset my ECU in order to get my car to even start, I'm not sure what that problem was.. Haven't had a problem with it since then. After I reset the ECU it started fine but didnt' have ANY dash, I had headlights, but no tailights, no turns, no radio.
So when you say you lose all power do you mean like what I explained or like your car is just dead?
