Oh wtf? How reliable is this info? Cause I got stuff with alot of these companies [ok well two of them really].
Headsup: If you have late fees out with Hollywood they will turn your acct over to a collection agency to make up part of their debt when they go under and then CA will tak on an extra fee up front so best to get that taken care of before you find yourself in more BS - If the above is true at all tho.

Hollywood Video filed for Chapter 11 in October 2007. I wonder how soon they'll start closing down? Bummer, I really like the one down the street from me. It feels more like a mom and pop video store than mega store. I work down the street from their corporate HQ too. Hmm..

and apparently the BB&B and L&T isn't true. Levitz I know is true because they even have bankruptcy liquidation commercials, and I'd also heard about Sharper Image a while back. IDK about Circuit City (but it wouldn't surprise me, they're overpriced and generally just suck). IDK who Performance Team Freight even is.

Im more surprised that a lot of these stores and more like them have held on as long as they have.

Hollywood Video should have gone under a while ago, With Net Flicks, Red Box, and everyone in their mother having burners, places like that are a thing of the past.

And the rest of them, anything you can buy at these stores you can buy online. sometimes even cheaper at some places, and with things like Pay Pal its getting more and more safer to shop and buy and sell online. we are seeing the first signs of the end of shopping malls, and big stores.

I think its funny really. When these big stores first started coming around, the small mom and pop stores started going out of biz because these stores where better cuz they had a lot of things that the small store didnt have, couldnt do, or the turn around times was longer with small store then it is with these larger big companies. Now....Mom and pop are online, and can get things done faster. small biz is getting more and more reliable and convenient.

I hope you are right. We had a Crispy Cream here once....... Tons of cops were good patrons of that place as the line for drive thru was fierce. Then one day everyone shown up for work and the place was closed down without warning and windows boarded up.

something you do have to realize is that bankruptcy for a big corporation is completely different than for a person.
a lot of times it's just a financial move to relieve some debt.

Delta Airlines filed for bankruptcy a few years back and thy are still around without too much worry.

yes many people do lose their jobs but it's not necessarily a bad thing for the company. kmart filed quite a while ago and they have since bought out sears. (or did sears buy them?)

Yeah this has been passed around since before Christmas. We have had talks with Blockbuster Video to try and make it so that they take care of all of the video and music sales and we take care of the rest. Personally, I sell car audio. We have been doing awesome sales wise.
