Well, i have been running this for 2 week now, checking every two days. And im suprised with the results. materials cost 5 bucks. I have tried this on the corolla. Its been tried on matrix on other forums, each car is different.

Go to home depot and get one of those pipe insulators and zip ties. What i did with the celi, is that i wrapped to insulate the largest a/c pipe.

it keeps most heat away, so it blows colder, i tried to insulate as most as i can. I check it every day, cause, some say is a fire hazzard, but i got the one that is rated for high temps.

Well enough of the talk, here is the proof.

BTW, if you dont like it, dont critizice, it is not hot looks, but in Georgia, the summers are killing. And it can be removed for winter....

I didn't know that there was a filter to replace for the a/c. Where's it located?

we dont have cabin air filter , at least not on mine.

I was a little hesitant, at first, but it gets 100 degrees here sometimes, and convertibles are more difficult to cool down...

Looks worth a try - we're not much cooler here, so hopefully it will provide a little relief. I just hope I can get mine as neat as yours.

thats why i think we need to take it off during winter. There is no way it will come out that cold when its 100 degrees in the summer.

wait. isn't the larger one the low pressure side.
which meants that its comming OUT of the ac core, & already cooled the cabin?
i can see it still helping since the condenser doesn't have to pull as much heat away from the 134...

Its a cool idea (get it? haha).
But I would like to see some type of automotive insulation used that is fire safe, and doesn't look like home depot in your engine bay.

Where is this cabin filter you talk of? I have my blower apart at this moment, and I can only clean the "fins" on the roundl fan assembly.

This is brilliant! I'm totally going to find something to do this with. I wonder if that insulation material that you use on hot water heaters would work - the stuff that's fiberglass on the inside and foil on the outside. I bet that stuff isn't flammable.
