this print out shows 197 hp 229 tq.

i did a ton of runs and some tuning max run was actually 198.5 hp 235 tq

this was on a mustang dyno which read low. and according to some this places mustang dyno reads extra low.

run was 2000-5500 rpm
12.8 psi
water/meth 50/50
megasquirt ( tuned myself)
ford edis ignition with msd coil/wires

water/meth droped IAT from 116F to 67F during the 1st run.

red = hp
blue = tq
green = boost
black = afr

Max Torque @ 3100 rpm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice!
Are you also controlling boost via MS? It looks a bit jumpy.
Fuel curve could also use some fine tuning, but thats probably just the way mustang dyno displays it.

I wish mustangs had as easy to understand layout and dynojets do.

Should add this to the Dyno sticky [Just should make sure to plainly label as MR2 5S-FTE] IMO. Moderators may not agree tho - IDK.
Very nice man. I'm dynoing on a brand new Mustang Dyno on monday. Not really concerned with it reading low - just want a basis for comparison from stock-ish [now] at low boost to when I start adding the good stuff/tuning. I'll be using the same dyno everytime so that I can get keep as accurate as possible info [plus it helps that it's a couple of blocks from my house and has 3 pulls for $20 biggrin.gif ]
Just for sh*ts and giggles tho - what percentage is it off vs a Dynojet? And which one is more accurate or is it somewhere in between the two?

There are different theories on this. Truth is, no one really knows for sure. Most people tune on a mustang, and then go make a few pulls on a dynojet, since that is the gold standard for bragging rights dyno numbers.

Cool - bragging rights are not really my bag. just trying to get her tuned out correctly and add a modest amount of power. Maybe I'll hit the Dyno jet one day for comparison.

that afr is about 13:1 at the highest point shown and 10.3 at the lowest so its a pretty big scale. those jumps in boost are only tenths of afr points.

im using a manual boost controller im going to build one for the megasquirt (gm solinoid) as changing weather causes me to hit my fuel cut some days.

How are you hitting fuel cut? I mean, cant you raise it or disable it in MS?

great results man.
looks like there is a bit more to gain in the mid range with timing.
we gotta get together some weekend, i'd like to get a bit more in-depth with ya about what exactly your MS setup consists of.
add your dyno to the registry at the top of the forum.
it may not be a celica, but its a 5sfte none the less.
