Okay, I know, I am an idiot. We changed out my struts, can now I can't remember if it was the shorter ones or the longer ones that are the front struts. Do you know? Are the rear the shorter ones? I think I remembered that. Because the springs were longer for the front. Go ahead, laugh or flame me. I just want to know as soon as possible, thanks.

wait do you want to know which springs go where or which shock assembly goes in front or back???
well here look at the base of the old shock on the right......... notice the bracket where the brake line connects?? this is the front shock, the rears have diff. mounting places for the brake line ![]() -------------------- I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island

im pretty sure the shorter springs are in front, longer in bak. Well I was just more curious about the struts. I have 1 pair longer than the other pair. When I got my springs, the shorter ones went to the back and the car actually sits a little lower in the front. I'll check out the what John pointed out. By the way, Nice ID name ![]() This post has been edited by Random_Stranger: Jun 21, 2008 - 12:20 AM -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

The rear struts have a smaller diameter where the spring sits. The front ones are larger. Also, on the rear strut (if i remember correctly) there is a dent on the bottom of where the springs sits. Looks like it is to prevent the tire from rubbing on the strut. As for the springs, when I did my car the shorter fatter springs went up front. The skinnier longer ones went in the rear. -------------------- ![]() |

LOL Yeah you are right. So the shorter things do go in the front, spring/struts, and the longer in the back. Makes sense, as I see now that the back needs a longer one. I cannot believe I forgot that. LOL Looking at them now, I see. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
