well hmm, i was playing around with some tubing to see about how much i was gonna need for my intake and when i pulled the stock one off i pulled this thing off and couldnt figure it out.
i feel kinda noobish for it too, i mean i know most the general stuff in an engine bay but i cant think for the life of me what this thing would be for...
right now the only possible thing i can think of is "water collection"(i know, wtf, y?) but to be honest i have no idea... what do you think...?

no, hanging off the stock intake tube, also has a little clamp that holds the throttle cable and cruse control cable.. its about 6 in away from the throttle body on the bottom of the tube.

ok I am going to take a wild guess at this that it could be the small air box on the botton of the oringal intake hose before it reach the airbox it has clamps that hold the cruise control and throttle. It honstly do not do much I think it just store extra air that about it no big thing.

It's the intake resonator. It was located where the one in the top right of this pic is yes? Looks slightly different from mine but that's likely because I have an SSIII.

I removed mine and it made it sound better and my butt-dyno reported slight increase in throttle response, so I approve smile.gif
