A couple of my favorites...

Most recent... Dark pic, but I'm in love with that shine...

I'll get some "true" convertible shots up when I get the passenger's side back window back on its tract, so that way I can have ALL the windows down for a change - which I havent had in a couple years because both back windows have had theyre problems. Gonna cost me a grand just to get one tiny lil window fixed this time though... ERRRGH!

not quite sure what you mean by the windbreaker..? I do have some recent pics I took as of yesterday, but I'm working on editing them some so they look better smile.gif. I'll post them up once thier done though.

edit: that picture is a year old, so that's why there's no exterior mods done yet tongue.gif (well that you can see..debadged trunk)

whoops it was actually just the house in the back.. with your top down and you see the triangle roof, makes it look like you have a windbreaker. Those cloth like panel put into bmw so no back pressure comes towards the front seats.. lol.

can't wait to see what you got !

Thanks to your brave mr2 seat swap how-to. I decided to try it for myself, luckily at the very same time at my Toyota shop they were about to throw away a 04 entire solara seat. i picked it up and swapped it in, but unfortunately i only have one seat =(

96bluevert, i thought you had a custom one or something.. LOL. but yeah i think it would take quite a bit of work to have one because they sit right behind the front seats.... BLACK LOOKS AWESOME!!

Free stuff is never a bad thing. I'm sure Alpine makes great head units, I'm rocking Type-S speakers all around and I'm seriously satisfied. This Pioneer one was just decently cheap. laugh.gif

^I love that picture, it's really excellent.

Actually, I love it so much I kinda want to do something similar to that myself. I love the way the lines in the concrete are so dramatic. Really cool lighting... empty parking garage... very cool indeed.

You painting the whole car a different color, or just repainting the same color?

GTS wheels painted black with a silver line and black molding tape on the splitters. I know its a little ghetto but I'm a little broke right now.

Newbie with first post.

I've got a '97 GT vert and I'm looking for information on the best various canvas convertible tops available. My original is a tan color and I'd like to keep the color stock. Any opinions, pros/cons of any suppliers of tops would be appreciated.

Regards, S-choir.

Stop asking questions to a convertible owner, dude. They're supposed to ask us hatchback owners if our parts fit their cars. laugh.gif

This is Jessica Marie. She had the above picture on her website, but yeah it's my car. I remember surfing around the internet, and I said "Hey.. those seats look familiar.. oh hey! That's my car!" laugh.gif

The model at last year's meet was Kali Chung. Here's a picture for reference laugh.gif

There were a couple different models at the photoshoot, but I was never good at remembering girl's names.

My wife and I bought this Celica two weeks ago:

It's 100% stock, with auto (meh... ), but I did add a satellite radio dock. I didn't know that plastic cover was nearly $600 to replace, so no more jokes about it flying off. biggrin.gif It has 122K miles on it, and runs like new. This is the first convertible I owned since my MG Midget back in 1978, and I forgot how much fun they are. As long as it's not raining, the top is down. Handling is very good, and the power is adequate for our needs. Our other two vehicles are a Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Patriot, so this is quite a change for us. I would like to change out the stock stereo for something with touchscreen/DVD/BT, but haven't decided which one yet.

a mini solara...

Ouch... MSN had a "10 Cars We Wouldn't Be Caught Dead In" fluff article, and the Solara made the list. My new top install was completed yesterday, but only looks like a new top when the top is up. laugh.gif The installer buys tops from this guy, and he said it would have cost him $70 more than what I paid on ebay. The seller is about 100 miles from me, and I had the top 2 days after ordering it. Hindsightseeing is his ebay name, and I paid $380 for a really nice Haartz Stayfast top with glass window. His auction says more than 10 available, and I'll vouch for the quality. The glass is sandwiched between two pieces of material. The old top's glass was glued to a single layer of material, but it was either original, or old.

Edit: I didn't see the Solara in the post above. Getting old....lol!
