So I've replace the EGR valve and still getting the Code 71, so the only thing left to replace is the little sensor that screws into the back of the EGR housing and plugs into some wires near the firewall. I cant find this item in my Haynes book and was wondering if anyone knows what this item is called.

I believe it's a temp sensor. Just take it out, clean it, re install.
You just replaced the EGR valve right ? it' usually not the valve that's bad, it's the filter on top and the piping off the valve that goes to the intake manifold. The inside of the intake mani is probably gunked up and no air is able to get through the small passageways to the EGR. -------------------- |
