I've come across quite a few threads in the past couple of days with users rolling on 7th GEN GT-S rims...
If you've got em, flaunt em!

I'd like to see what all the users have done with them (painted them, lowered with them, etc.)

I'll start w/ mine:

I gotta post up...

btw: 7th gen wheels could also be taken as GT or GTS wheels just so you know, in case you were only looking for the GTS's smile.gif

The GTs look the same but they are only 15" wink.gif
I have no doubt you could have chosen to upgrade from the dealer but from the factory GTS had one style and GT had 2 IIRC - one of which looked like the GTS but was 15" instead of 16".

I've only seen one style of GT wheels for the 7th gen and they look nothing like the GTS's.

Nope - they're just like the GTS ones but 15" - similar to the MRS wheels but 5 lug [You guys are gonna make me bust out my '00 Celica Brochure on you aren't you?]

Snap - so sorry man - didn't know [But yeah I'm not a fan of those at all - some GTS got those and no wing too]

be warned, if your car doesn't have skirt or aint lowered, it might look a lil high up on stock GTS rims.

As opposed to how high up it looks on stock 94-99 GT-S rims which are 15"??

I'd rather have stock suspension and 7th gen 16" GTS rims than the 6th gen 15" 5 star rims...

... whos with me!? laugh.gif

I put 215/50 on mines. Like them even in stock color, especially with 3l2 paint. I agree that 16x6.5 is not the best match but i wouldn't say it's a failure.

P.s: I'll get spacers next summer...

thread resurrection

I really like the gts wheels but my wheels appear to have a sunken in look, what would be the right size spacers. I read earlier in this thread +43 but in the same comment he added the wheels were fail so I don't know if it was just a large number thrown out cause he didn't like the wheels. others here said they were gonna put spacers what spacer sizes did those who have used

No, our 7th Gen. GT (the "base" model) came with those 15" wheels while the ones everyone else in the thread has are the GT-S (higher trim) 16" wheels.

offset on stock 7th gen wheels are +39 but wheel width is actually 6.5 inches compared to 6th gen gt rims are 7 inch wide. my guess is a 10mm spacer.

you need at least a +35mm offset to clear gt4 front calipers on a 7 inch wide rim.
