*First Off*
I know my car is spray paint, and not professionally done. But I wanted to see what you all thought of this.. ONLY

I was getting tired of fixing my front lip, and I planned to get some ssIII splitters, but before I did, my friend suggested I just modify my 404 lip to "simulate" the look ... I liked how it turned out, curious what you all thought.. maybe call it SS404? lol

its ok, thanks for being honest.. i'm still thinking about SSIII splitters.. just don't have doh to really consider yet..

i've been checking the site here and there.. but to be honest, when I got bashed for my spray paint job I just lost respect for the site so I just don't come on here much or post much...

It's a cool idea, just doesn't look completely right. If you could do some extra fiberglass work and have them blend with the bumper more, I think that would look pretty good. Though they sort of complement your paint job (not meant as an insult to the paint job). Honestly, for using spray cans you did a really good job and I like the design.

Don't be put off by people that give negative feedback.

Everybody has their own opinion, so don't take it to personal, I like what you did with the paintjob.
It shows that you have a unique style.

I just love your rims, what brand are they?

I'm getting my car painted next week together with my Euro splitters.
It's just getting a toyota red again with some dents removed and all the panels the same colour again.

I guess the difference was I don't mind people not liking it and saying why... but when I got things like "i wouldn't be caught dead driving around in that"... it was just too far.

They are Focal's custom painted silver / gunmetal

Points for being original. I believe no matter what it looks like, originality should always be recognized. Honestly though, not that it matters much coming from me, but I liked it better without the modification. Although you did mention you had to keep fixing it, so I can understand that. That's just my thoughts on it. And like everyone said, those wheels are HOT!

It's not my cup of tea either but definitely big points for being original! I just happen to be really picky anyway about stuff like that... I really like the comment though that your car has jaws now, I think that's actually a perfect way to describe it and actually made me think twice about my original thoughts on it. So eh, not for me, but I think it's actually awesome for you and you should totally keep it that way.

I was wondering why you hadn't been on the site much... knowing why now makes me kinda sad. Don't let a bunch of idiots ruin it for you. Some people are just too stupid to be able to think constructively and formulate actual valid opinions. I know I miss you on here and we don't even know each other. You should definitely come back, I'm sure you'll be coming into open arms on here.

you know, i've noticed that about celica owners... as much as we rip on and bash each other on here at times, anytime anyone needs a hand, there's always somebody (the bashers more often than not) willing to help. not like those honda guys. we have that camaraderie. stick around man, and hey, i'm part of the rattle can crew now too biggrin.gif.

yeah i was originally gonna cut more off on the sides to make them look like SSIII splitters.. but with how they are designed, i couldnt' figure out a good place to trim without the lines not flowing right..

if anyone has any ideas, let me know smile.gif
