Mine idles at i think right below 1,000...thats the normal area right?

yeah, around 750-800 should be the normal idle

my idle holds really well. it might be because i took off the throttle body and cleaned it as best as i could, making sure all the air tubes were empty.

yeah, I've actually tried to get rid of the eratic idle but to no avail. so far I've:

changed pcv
cleaned throttle body

as well as replaced the following as per maintenance schedule:

changed plugs/wires
new rotor/cap
changed fuel filter

I'm probably forgetting some things, but what else could it be?
