heat shield yes or no?, do i really need the heat shield

Why would you need it? My Weapon R intake is closer to the motor then on an Injen setup. I don't think that you would need the heat shield on.

while the heat sheild is useless, no matter what intake you have the engine heat gets to it.

best thing to do would be to insulate the intake tube

I personally hate the way they look I like to be able to see the manifold, preferably headers or turbo, but will it harm anything to remove it?

it keeps down under hood temps

so yes, keep the manifold heat shield on

it isn't really blocking air flow i dont think...cause there is still a couple inches between that and the filter itself.

i find that funny when my car does it. im gonna make a heat sheild this week to put over my turbo and help with the heat in the engine bay
