thats pointless if you have to go out of the way to buy an adapter just to get it to work

dynolicious is a decent program for speed and timed runs using the iphone's gps

I downloaded the Rev lite, and it was pointless so I deleted it.

I'd still opt for Dynolicious.

do you have it ? if so, how accurate you find it to be ?

I'm thinking about getting it, but they don't have a free version to toy around and test it, and since no one around me has it I'm a little hesitant, plus it would be the first app I ever pay for lol. it's a shame they haven't made a cydia or installer version of this lol

after jailbreaking you need to install mobile installation from installer. then download whichever programs you want. open up the apps and it adds it to your iTunes application folder. then sync and you're good to go. best thing is that its recognized by iTunes and even has the red x circle when you make em wiggle lol.

nice. shame on me I already paid for my first and last app.

my iphone is already jailbroken, I was actually surprise and how long we've come from when I unlocked an iphone for first time, the process was tedius and involved so many codes and different apps. now it all can be done ( jailbreaking / unlocking ) in one single app in less than 5 minutes.

supersprynt what firmware version are you on ? I can show you the proper link to jailbreak it on a PC in less than 5 minutes. and installer / cydia work flawlessly, and I think you'd love the snapture app even tho the quality of their pic isn't great you can zoom lol

I have 2.1 now. When I had my old phone & 1.1.4 I used Ziphone which was simple, and I tried WinPwn but custom firmware kept giving me an error in iTunes so I gave up. I haven't bought any apps but I have a good amount of the free ones, 2 "pages" worth.

I see, the custom firmware was giving problems to a few others as well, but that's because you needed some extra steps in order to make everything work right. you just need quickpwm21-1 ( quickpwn for 2.1 ) no extras needed, this will recognized your 2.1 firmware and unlocked it without any issues, the file is 16 Mb so I can email it to you but it should be easy to find on the net as well.

Flashlight app always appeared pointless to me. I had a good one when I had it jailbroke and it was from installer, very bright. The one on App Store isn't nearly as bright.

I have one from cydia, is really bright, and it can be adjusted from steady to blinking lol.

I tested the dynolicius app, well not completely but I monitor my braking, acceleration and lateral force with it, I don't have any real data to compare, but the numbers seem to be realistic, I got 1.2 G's when braking hard, I got a lateral force of 0.72 G but I still need to go somewhere where I can drive around without compromising my car of my health lol, I didn't push the car to much, for acceleration I got a 0.32 G tongue.gif I think that would be consistent with my auto ST.

I haven't done any 1/4 mile or 0-60 run to see what would come up.

Do you use that AIM app you downloaded? I found out this wacky app runs in the background, completely drained my battery. After I deleted it everything's back to normal.

I think it only works in the background if you sign on and then close it. I do this often when I check mail and then go back to it and my convo's are updated. But I sign out of it everytime so I think that's what really shuts it down.

So I looked into this and you have to jailbreak your phone, SSH into it, and then modify a folder to get these to work. Seems like a lot of work.

I tested it, is pretty much the same as dynolicius but the free version is not the full version ( expected ) pretty good for the price I'd say.
