They are on EBAY, and look pretty nice. I am not personally selling them but I ran into it earlier today. Bidding ends Oct. 8th! Here is the link.

The new Acura TLs have a CF license plate thingie... I think it looks really nice on them actually. If this one looks anything like the TLs do, it would probably look pretty nice on our cars!

This Licence Garnish piece is really hard to remove! I've tried for some weeks ago, because I were trying to do some dampening behind it. I did not manage to remove it...

By the way, will CF match a black car?

It sure will, I guess it all depends on angle too. In some angles it will have a silver scaly cast. Pretty neat. If you read up on the EBAY page they say that they have different colors. What they have I am unsure but wont hurt to ask the seller. smile.gif

Everyone who bid got a second chance bid, I did at least.
I got mine for 101 plus ship. I also saw where you won the auction
but the auction says ships to US only. If there is a problem with shipping
to you Kaos let me know, I'll see if I can help you out.

Also these are made to order(5 to 10 days) then shipped so don't expect it in the next few days.
I was hoping to have mine by the 18th but then I read more and realized that probably isn't going
to happen.

Hahaha - I asked that guy for a few more parts done in CF as well, and he said he's going to try for me... that'd be sweet.

As far as shipping, I've already paid the invoice and he didn't sound concerned that I was from Canada... I'll just be paying out the arse for customs, but thanks for the help!! I appreciate it!

I kinda want to know how big of a vaccuum he's got for making the molds, because if you look at everything he has for sale on his ebay page - the size of the parts he creates seems pretty limited, I haven't asked him yet, but if the quality is there - I would be very interested in doing more business with this guy for sure!

whoever is making these obviously has/is around 6gc's to be making C/F license plate garnishe's....someone should message him and see what else he can do! doors, wings, fenders, hatches, hoods, interior pieces? i dunno just an idea but i do like these a lot...espically for a 2 toned car.

Well I had ordered one awhile back and just got it in yesterday. it looks awsome right out of the box but just wait till you try to put it on... nothing fits. I'll prob have to mod it to get it to fit right but its to wide and hits the tail lights and the bumper and the top and bottom are to short and looks horrible none of the bolt holes match neither does the lock hole. kindasad.gif to everyone that did buy this hopefully i just got a bad one or something but i will try to get my money back and will not deal with that same seller.

Careful with that quick negative feed back, it can come back and bite you in the as*. Go through the right steps if your having a problem getting in touch with him, go through ebays live help they'll tell you what steps you should take. biggrin.gif

Look at it this way, if hes a power seller with like 1000 feed back and you leave a negative feed back for him it probably wont even change hiss feed back percentage. If you have less than 100 and he leaves you negative feed back your percentage can go from like a 100% to like 94% with just the one negative. wink.gif

Might be worth confirming which model they're for. They might make good and make a batch for the hatchbacks if these prove to be coupe items.

Well he wrote this back

Dear ra65_22re,

I am sorry about that sure you can sent it back for a full refund please if you can take a pic of what it was wrong and I will fix it once it is fixed I will let you know to see if you want to buy it again, sorry for the inconvenience.

- americancarbonfiber1

And I would have to agree and say it might be for coupes. The carbon fiber one fits snug over the stock one which would explain why its bigger on every corner. He also sent a message to my e-mail that said he will even pay for shipping back to him so thats prob what I will do.

Someone should hook him up...

Ok so if RA65 22re didn't post up that picture of his car - I would be pissed that somebody else did.

(If its not him trying to sell it) - but that picture looks identical to the ones he posted above. No?

If you want to make sure it fits a coupe/vert, we could try it on my car and see before you send it back. Not sure I'd nessesarily want one for my car, otherwise I'd buy it off of you.

Here's what i got from him:

Dear ligialy,

HI thanks for bidding, I did not know there was a difference, this one now I know it is for the coupe, I am to receive the stock part for the hatchback so that I can make the mold, you can wait if you want, thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

looking at his screen name, he's a Celica enthusiast as well. RA65 is a chassis code for a Celica 1982-1985 and 22RE is an engine.

it fits great i only had to demel the holes for the license plate it self and that was a very minor thing. quality is very good and very sturdy. lol its funny that this c/f piece weighs more than the oem one.

no point on me getting one then, I love to improve the looks of my celi, but I've done enough stuff to make it heavier already. I have to start doing some performance oriented mods from now on.

There was never a problem with Coupe fitment.
The original peice was from a coupe, thats why it wouldn't fit on the hatchback.

I talked to him recently and he mentioned he was waiting to hear back about fitment before he made any more, and I'd kinda like to get mine... biggrin.gif

Digging this one up from the dead. Ordered 4 of these way back, held off until the fitment proved correct for the hatchback (too late to file a grievance with paypal, etc.).

Still no word, he's now ignoring messages through ebay & email direct. I've filed a complaint via www.ic3.gov.

Do any of you have a mailing address so as I can more detail.

Thanks in advance.
