So sometime later this week, I'm going to try to find some time before sundown to replace my spark plugs. What I want to know is what spark plugs would be ideal for daily usage. I guess something that's the best bang for the buck. The plugs should be gapped to 0.043" (1.1MM) according to the sticky, correct?

More expensive plugs don't always mean they perform better... just have better life. Basically, you should get Denso or NGKs... the tier (platnum, iridium, V power, etc.) is up to you and your budget. They all do pretty much the same thing.

I use bosch platinum +4, i heard good things about them. I like them alot, no complaints. I see on here though alot of people "prefer" NGK or denso, w/e floats your boat really.

NGK Iridiums FTMFW.

I've also got a set of Bosch Platinum in fair shape if you want em. IIRC they're still in the garage.

I'm not too worried about quality:price ratio. Hell, I'm running $2 (x6) NGK 6097 in the 1JZ as those are favored for the car. I just wanted to see what is recommend for the 5SFE like NGK #### or Bosch _____. Will the 6097s work fine in the 5S?

NGK's are what i've had the best performance and reliability with.
I had Bosch in and they just didn't do as well.
Put NGK Iridium back in and it helped out alot.
Therefore I recommend NGK Iridium.

Does the Pulstar actually work so good as told? I read an article about these, which were discussed as the "revolutonary new plugs" which gave you more hp, better economics and so on.

I think that Alex is trying to say he's not worried abo0ut the price so he wants to get new plugs so he'll have that much longer to go before he needs to change again [Nice offer tho]. Plus Alex is an NGK man like myself wink.gif

Is it true that if you break the irridum out of the plugs, and throw it at glass it'll instantly shatter?

Bingo!

So far that's 2 for NGK Iridiums. Anyone else tried other plugs and have been happy with'em?

About the Pulstar Spark Plugs
HMM well let tell you i was expecting some gains in hp like maybe 5 horses or so, i was asking for more than i would get. I paid $110 from pepboys. So they price out at about $25 each plug. Expensive right!! hell yea they were. I noticed a little gain but nothing to be like wow these plugs are the best. I can get like 29mpg on the in city driving when i keep it under 2500 rpm's so they are fuel economic. I'll just have to see how long they will last me. But next time there is no way im spending that much again for plugs. Just going to go with the best ngk plugs and leave it at that...
