i got invited on my US account that i only set up to buy PAIN last year Considering it's 99% US people on here it's pretty amazing!!! perfect comms, no lag, just played a game of pool against someone....

This thing is going to be huge!


sucks that i can only access on my US account (no friends) so i won't be able to find my friends on my master account, but it's still awesome to be in here....

Still exploring but i love it so far.

the thing is, it's been coming out for so long, i'd totally lost interest....

but now i've seen it, it's amazing!

everything is just soooo good. beautiful graphics, screens with trailers playing, gaming rooms for Warhawk, SOCOM etc...... bowling, pool tables... you can actually just spend time in here without ever playing a game!

Yeah, just looked like one of the weekly store update emails from playstation underground, but had the code in it

I think they will be inviting more and more each week to test the servers.

Going to have a good look around later today.

I'll be a loner though as i have no friends on this account

Ok - so I just tried it out, it's pretty cool. Everyone is wearing the same thing right now because there's no stores available at the moment. I didn't get to play pool and I foresee this place needing to get a lot bigger to accommodate all the rest of the world when this goes live.

I think it only uses the 3GB when you're streaming movies, the actual install is about 200MB, i think they want you to keep 4 GB free for temp storage...


I can run it on any of my accounts so i'm back on manphibian i'll add you guys later. The pool and bowling are pretty basic, but fun enough... i don't think you can put spin on the cueball in pool which is a bit lame, there are a few old school arcade machines but i haven't tried them yet.

I would hope more stuff will be available when it's released.... needs more games. Didn't notice any lagging yet, which is impressive as most were from the US.

I was reading online that you have to downloaded the Home Beta theme in order to be get your email put into the list of the people who would test it...I download it a while ago so maybe Ill get an email soon...You guys don't think it will matter that I'm using the tomb raider theme at the moment...btw tomb raider is an awesome game woot!

nah, it's just random. I've downloaded nothing. I never even use the account it came to.

I think 1000's more invites going out monday/tuesday...


I hope the place is going to get a LOT bigger when it's released.... There are only 5 bowling lanes for the whole of the US, gonna be fun standing around watching people play!

i have the new xbox experience (pathetic name), and like luke said, it's pretty weak. basically microsoft saw the hype over home and tossed "NXE" together to try to compete, and failed all over it.

Playstation Home - rooms with anybody from around the world, and go straight to a game from inside home, think the matchmaking in halo, but with any (?) multiplayer game, like warhawk or any of the downloadable games. in home, there's also "Home games".

NXE - FAIL. from what i can figure out with it, the "community" in it, is only with peeps on your friends list, which is weak for the people that don't sit in front of their console all day and add friends they meet in game. granted, i've added maybe 10 friends this way, and my friends list is around 32. i only see this community thing working if you have at least 100 friends, or at least 10-20 who are on at all times. somebody correct me if i'm wrong, i stopped trying 'cuz i decided it was pathetic.

yes, PSHome is taking FOR-ever, for good reason, at least they aren't pulling a micro-suck and just tossing a piece of crap together in two months.

I think the open beta for home starts soon, i think we could have some fun annoying people on there RJB some people take it super-seriously.

its kinda boring....i keep on getting kicked off. i dont know if it has to do with my connection but im on verizon's fios and it sucks but it is an always connected line. ive already made 2 profiles, a guy for me and a girl for when my gf likes to check it out. my username is forkee if anyone wants to add me.

Usually I get an error the first time I sign on, and then I do it again and it works. This has been happening every time. Other than that I don't have an issue.

Right now there isn't much to it. I won't be spending money on virtual things and have virtual parties. I think it could be good for friends to meet up and play games. I would like to see the Uncharted play through home, and you can also play Warhawk, so it could be a good meeting spot for players who want to play together.

Dammit, Uncharted was a good game.

I tried it last night, it's pretty cool...I'm not about to sit there for an hour or two to customize every single aspect of the avatar's feature, but it's cool that it gives you the ability. The environment looked good as well, didn't really go anywhere but the central meeting plaza.
