Hi, New to this forum. Hope Im welcome! smile.gif

Anyway, currently ive been thinking about selling one of my cars. Its a 1996 Celica GT4 (st205/RHD). Currently has 71K kilometers, which equates to around 44K miles. The car is red, and has white 17inch OZ wheels.

Here are a few of the upgrades:

JASMA full exhaust system
Blitz ECU
HKS EVC 4
HKS Racing Induction Kit
TRD Clutch
Turbo Timer
7th Generation radio with CD/Cassette player (japanese radios dont go over 90.0mhz, and they start at 76mhz)
CORSA Aftermarket Steering wheel

Everything is original, I didnt add anything that would extract from its factory standards with the exception of the head unit and the steering wheel. I took off all this stuff that was in it, including a fujitsu ten amp, center speaker, all the wires that the previous owner had when the system was installed.

Car is clean, I never raced it, only had it for about 6 months.

Well, if anyone is interested, I will bring it to Englishtown this upcoming weekend for the NHRA Sports Compact Fall Nationals. Otherwise, please enquire, or make me an offer via email: jehovatorah@hotmail.com.

Nice to be a part of a forum dedicated to 6th gen series celicas.

rgds,
Lee

Sorry guys for the late response. The one that was offered on ebay was black, and the guy is from New Jersey. Im in no way affiliated with him. Im in Long Island, New York.

The car is currently not titled or registered in any state. Ive imported it from Japan back in february of this year, along with a galant vr4 and a evo 1. Ive imported cars in the past, I currently own and drive an evo 5 gsr (street legal).

I will post some pics of it soon. Otherwise, you can see it on the 4th and 5th at ETown.

All of a sudden, everyone on the east-coast will be selling their Celica in order to pay for that monster. However, it is un-legalized. But since the guy has legalized a vehicle before, it might be worth it because he might have connections.

Thankd GT2GT4 for the comprehensive instructions on how to upload pics. Only problem was waiting for the slow website (imagestation) to switch pages. Cold be my connection.

Anyway, here are the pics I promised. Nevermind that silver thing parked next to it. biggrin.gif

By the way, wait till I upload them all before questions. thnxuser posted image

picture from rear. I know you'll notice that there's a license plate there. Doesnt mean that the car is registered. My best friend owns a dealership, and he's letting me borrow dealer's plate so I can drive it around town.

And finally, under the hood. Well, pretty self-explanatory for those that have this motor under your hoods out there. Very good engine, strong, lots of power and momentum, just dont use *****y gas. Personally I like the explosive power my evo has. Then again, the evo is much more tuned. Im now open to all questions. thanks all for looking! smile.gif

I havent put alot of thought into how much I want for the car to be honest. I know how much I paid for it.

I really want to get the amount I paid for it originally, plus some of the expenses I have incurred up to this date (like performance mods and stuff). Out of all the gt4s I saw in Japan for sale, this was by far the best one I could get at the time.

I will assist the buyer with all I know on how to get this thing ready and road legal. Nevertheless, I will not legalize it, nor would I trust anyone that would promise such a thing. Again, I will provide all the tools and knowledge on how I got my evo street legal, several options you have, and who to contact. I can assure you, the method is legal and can be done in almost every state. All you need is the right guidance.

Again, I will only provide this valuable and precious information to the buyer.

Jon, I dont really import parts only. I could enquire about it if you have something in mind. Most likely, if its something heavy and doesnt fill up a container, it will be very expensive. Again, I can enquire for you.

i wish i had the money to buy the car right now.

so you dont want to tell us how you got the car over here? i really dont car about legalization. i just want a gt4, even if it will take me 5 years to get it legalized.

but hey, in a couple of years i should have the money to buy one and i would pay you to import it for me(legal or illegal/grey area importation, doesnt matter to me)

I will take sensible offers. I just dont want to expose the price because I dont think a possible buyer would want everyone to know how much he/she paid for it. You can send me a message or email me at jehovatorah@hotmail.com and I will tell you what I want to get for this car. Trust me, its nothing absurd considering the car. I assure you the car is in great overall shape, excellent if I may say, and I really like it. But, I want to get something else soon, and this one will have to go (not enough space here).

Shoot me an email if you're seriously interested. wink.gif

Just out of curiosity, exactly what kind of exhaust system does the car have? JASMA is just a certification that the exhaust is legal in Japan, and it isn't a parts company or anything. wink.gif

Coomer, I thought no one would get that one. tongue.gif JASMA, for those that dont know it, means Japan Automotive Sports Muffler Association. The exhaust on the car is a trust. The japanese are very strict in regards to emissions and other car related environment effects. Consider their inspection, I dont think a great % of our cars in the states would ever pass.

By the way, the exhaust sounds awesome on the car! Definetely one of the best sounding cars Ive ever owned.

fallenhero, you're definetely on the right track. If you're serious about numbers, like I said, shoot me an email and we can talk.

doodiehead, I thought about ebay, but I put my evo on there about a year ago, and I got the dumbest questions in the world via email. Not only that, I got threats too! frown.gif ebay, no thanks for now. If Im desperate, then for sure. Otherwise, Id rather offer it to people that knows these cars.

it is expensive to convert from rhd to lhd and vice versa.

it is up to you, it will cost a lot of money and take a lot of time, plus it will never fit togther perfectly but if you dont want to attract unwanted attention, converting would be a good idea.

i need to start saving money again. i want a GT4, care to share how you got it?

How much? E-mail or PM me with a price. If interested I could trade you a 98 GT with 4,XXX miles on a 5SFE and 48,XXX on the body. Maybe I'll just take it off your hands and swap most of the interior(Except RHD) smile.gif

this car is definitely worth every penny. Secondly, if I ever got a GT-Four I would LEAVE it RHD -- it just takes away from the car. There possibly could be FOUR GT-Four's in the US. My brother knows a guy that imports/restores cars and works at a shop near my state's Capital. He was talking to my brother and my brother mentioned to him that I was a GT-Four freak. The guy was ASTONISHED that a kid my age knew was a GT-Four was. Anyhow, the guy said he would try and work something out for me cos of my brother. But here's the thing, the guy had just imported a GT-Four for a guy and if I'm not mistaken, I believe he was importing it for a guy in Indiana. I have no idea if you are the guy that got the GT-Four, but if you aren't, then there is one more to add to the list.

Again, any offers welcomed. I have 3 cars coming in soon from Japan, and this one will have to go.

I appreciate the comments. Those that have enquired about driving RHD cars, its very easy. Once you drive a car, you can pretty much drive another, no matter where the steering wheel is. I have done it since I was 18 (Im now 26). The only downfall is all the looks you, paying tolls, and going through a drive thru at Macdonald's for example. wink.gif

Im really hoping that someone who fully understands the car will purchase and take it further. Its a beautiful machine, but unfortunately Im an evo freak. biggrin.gif

Man this whole importing cars thing sounds like some sort of cult by those who are actually in on it.... biggrin.gif

I would just really like to know how, so that in the future i could consider importing something like a GT-4 when i find the money. But thats definately insane that you got one into the US in that kinda shape, and in one piece. I dont see what the purpose is of keeping it so secretive though....its not like everyone is gonna go out and buy imported cars if someone did say how they did it. Its just too much of a hassle for some people. rolleyes.gif

Im going to see if i can make it to Englishtown though...that would be great to see what all the hype is about. smile.gif

Howdy folks,

Did anybody see me at englishtown this weekend? If so, I appologize for having the car for only 1 day (saturday). I had a problem with my evo and had to trailer it back, leaving no room tow the celica. So I decided to leave Saturday, drop off the car, sleep at home, then come back the next day for my evo.

It was the worst weekend I ever had. Rained as soon as I was about to run an STI on saturday, blew my clutch on the first run (on the evo), didnt get to run, wasted my time money and energy, a total inevitable loss. frown.gif Well, thats what I get for drag racing. I should have joined the drifters, or even the car show. rolleyes.gif

All those that have emailed about the car, I have sent out the replies. Any further questions, dont hesitate to ask. If anybody interested in purchasing the car would like to come and visually inspect the car, you're more the welcomed to do so. Just contact me via email or PM me so we can set something up.

what kind of money am i looking at?

ud be better of going through moterex, arent they in cali? and doesnt a r32 go for like 19k and a 33 vspec go for the 30s?

Sphinx, like bonsaisushi said, try motorex. Only thing he made a mistake was on the price. For an R33 vspec they want about 50 to 60K. For an 1990 r32 GTS (very plain and basic) they want 18K for it.

I never attempted to import one, nor ever wanted one. They are awesome cars, they look great, but extremely over priced for what you get. You can import one for way less than stated, and get motorex to legalize it for you. They will charge about 25K just to make it legal. thumbsdown.gif

Besides, every event I go now it seems that at least 2 people have skylines there. This weekend there were two at Etown. I like my Evo and GT4. Its bound to be the only one anywhere I go, plus people dont automatically know what it is.

Plus, toyota just makes one hell og an engine, dont you think?

Actually....the R33 that MotoRex has for sale has tons of upgrades on it. And I'm assuming it puts out numbers above 600 HP because it has a 800HP fuel pump on it. A stock R33 would go for 30-40K.

Besides the fact, I do agree that you could import one a lot cheaper if you didn't go through them. But since I don't know the process or who to talk to, I can't help you there.

Gosh, this guy has my two favorite cars, haha, I'm an EVO freak too, but it stays here. Don't be spreading it on celica.net, hehe.

Hey, the cat-back exhaust on my Supra has a JASMA badge, but on the tail it says RS Racing Sport and looks exactly like the A'PEXi RS, so I think that's what I got.

Truejigga, can you post pics of the EVO? My best friend is an EVO freak, too, and he has a 97 Mirage LS tha he turbocharged himself...last time he dynoed it, he got 308.5 hp to the wheels. He would love those pictures...and...what a coincidence... he's 26 also, hehe!

95celgt, I think if you sell your camaro you can probably buy a pair of celicas gt4. wink.gif Seriously, Im sure it would take you 3 days to sell your car online considering the amount of people who would jump on it. Id love to see pics of that thing.

OK, I decided to reduce the price slightly as a final attempt to sell it to someone that will really truelly appreciate this car. I will hold this price until the end of the month, then it goes on ebay where I will continue my attempts to sell this vehicle. At that time, the vehicle will have a higher reserve.

Just another teaser, here's a picture of the gt4 and my ex-celica, now sold to a friend. The white one is a GT, turbo charged with NOS. Although the NOS has been removed by my friend who purchased the car, its still a quick car. Anyway, contact me with real serious ready to buy questions. Im hoping this car can go by the end of the month to one of yous out there. rgds, Aurelio
