Got pulled over for "wreckless driving". I spun my tires through 1st gear and that was it, testing my new clutch getting onto a 4 lane highway in the middle of a business area. 3 cruisers were sitting there waiting and I didn't see them. Pulled me over with 3 cruisers and cited me for wreckless driving. Searched my car and searched me and my friend. Not for speeding, or stop sign, nothing like that. Citation says, "Spinning tires and weaving wrecklessly with no regard for other traffic." I did spin my tires yes. But i had full control of the vehicle and i have a witness to testify that. There also was no traffic around at 11:00pm for a very long distance. oh yea, and i had a green arrow.....
No amount or $ on the thing and the stupid lady didn't even sign it or anything, but i have a court date. How freakin gay.

Yeah, you're fine if the cop didn't sign the ticket. Seriously though, almost all cops will pull you over and cite you for reckless driving if you spin the tires through first. Now getting a ticket for impersonating a police officer because of having blue neon inside my car, that's a stupid ticket. tongue.gif

once i got a ticket for no seatbelt

but i went to pay it the same day and the cop wrote the wrong price

the lady said it was actually more for some new surcharge...she couldnt read his writing...i said i wasnt going to pay it..she thought i was gonna go nuts or something because this red light started flashing and two officers came over and handcuffed me...i was like wtf?

so i told them what was going on and they ripped up the ticket. the lady at the clerk of courts office bitched them out for doing it...they told her to do her job and collect money if the ticket is correct and walked away..she gave me a dirty look and i left.

i got pulled over for "Racing and Exhibition driving" the cop put in his report that i told him we were racing and messing around he also said that he was doing well over 70 and i was pulling away from him. I was doing 43 up a hill it cost me 200 and 4 points on my license. they r just out to get us because some people are retarded and ruin it for all. btw my friend has a 1g DSM GS-T i know better than to mess with that.

that is really stupid! If you have bigger tires then stock you can get out of that one easy. Just say your speedo is calibrated after putting on the bigger tires and wheels and you get off scott free. Did it with my truck and my off-road tirs.

Went back to the scene of the crime this morning lol. I left TWO BEAUTIFUL black marks for a good 5-6 feet maybe. Oh well, atleast i know what my car can do now lol.

I talked to a buddy in the Knoxville Police. He said because there is so much crap wrong with it it is a miss cite and I have to go to court and the judge will decide my fate. Probably do driving school or something. We'll just have to wait and see.

HA, you think thats bad? About a week after i got my Celica i was coming home from work on the highway, and a highway patrol pulled me over. I wasnt speeding or doing anything wrong at all, so i was like WTF? He came up to my window and demanded to see my license. I gave it to him and was wondering what was going on. So, he comes back up to me and he says " i dont think someone as young as you should be able to afford a car like this, so i pulled you over to make sure you diddent steal this car because it has no plates". I was so pissed! I got way nasty and said "yeah its my car and do you want to see my insurance for it too???" he got this annoyed look on his face and then i asked him if i could go now. He said to me "yes, but make sure you follow the law" and got back into his car....how messed up is that?

Well, you have a good point and it should be voided. I don't see any problems with you getting out of it. But you could always tell the judge that your foot slipped.

I've actually gotten lucky like blkGT did as well. I got pulled over for doing 55 in a 35 around a turn without my lights on(My parking lights were on from taking pictures and I was in the city, so I couldn't tell they were off.) The officer pulled me over and told me that our conversation was being recorded for future use in court! He acted like he was going to give me a ticket for reckless driving for taking that turn too fast, failure to yield at a red light turning right(My excuse for speeding was to not slow down the car behind me that I saw at the last minute after I turned), speeding, no headlights, no front license plate, and expired tabs(My tabs said July 2003 and it was July 27th so I figured it meant they expired at the end of the month, but I guess not.) He was very mean and intimidating at first, and went back to his car for a few minutes, which was probably the longest few minutes of my life, and when he came back, he gave me my license and stuff and told me to drive legally from now on, and then he left. I was so surprised and relieved. smile.gif

Well here are my tickets/close-calls since I got my license in January...well even one prior when I had my learner's permit...

-Speeding 49 in a 35, on my permit. I got a lawyer and I signed an agreement saying that I would stay clean and get no same or similar violations within 6 months of the court date in exchange for the ticket being ripped up. Well, it never went on my record...and wouldnt have unless I got another ticket. So if I would've gotten a same or similar it would've been added plus the current one...so like out of no where two tcikets...luckily I was clean...

-Speeding 112 in 65. Cop laughed. What a nice guy! This is the only cop I've ever liked...it was about 1am and going up north to my friend's cabin. no one on the road...so I set the cruise around 110ish and just went straight there...normally a 3 hour drive took like hour and 45 minutes or so. I got pulled over though near the end, and he said he only pulled me over to tell me to slow it down a bit because of the construction site...wow seriously he was a nice cop. I wish I would've gotten his name because he deserved a thank you card in the mail.(I know that type of speed is kinda dumb to soem people, but for me it's heaven. I only do extreme speeding when there's no one else on the road...it's still reckless...but in this case I would only hurt myself so I would be the only one paying for my actions...and in this way I feel better about it so there!)

-Blue interior neons...twice in the same week...dar...no ticket.

-Map light on....no ticket.

-Not coming to a complete stop...no ticket

-Running a red....no ticket (Hell everyone egst this one, adjusting radio or what not...late at night not paying much attention...kinda glide through it. ugh...cop as nice tho)

All those times I got pulled over...only once got the ticket...and it never went on my record. Yay! I win. lol...kinda stupid but eh.

AND BTW...you may not believe the 112...neither did my parents. but my two friends in the car at the time could tell you it happened so yeah.

I've been pulled over too many times. I have only gotten lucky once. He asked where I got my exaust done, blah blah. Then he's like "I really dont care, it's not very loud, but some cop will pull you over and give you a ticket. Put the silencer in and you'll be fine" I was just like what just happened? Then he gave me a warning and for some reason speeding was checked on there too(he paced me) but didn't say a word about it. I was only doing like 3-4 over to show him I wasn't worried about him being there.

Yes, I've consulted with a lawyer on two of my tickets(Following too closely, Unreasonable and imprudent speed) The following too closely was dropped(I hit the person for Christ sakes) and Unreasonable was swiched to excessive noise by vehicle acceleration(0 points)

If I had not done this, my insurance would be very very high. I suggest very highly on a Reckless driving ticket to consult with a lawyer.
