Just showing off some of the things I've been up to. I'm always looking for ways to improve our wiring work and have finally got some reliable sources for OEM terminals, wire seals, etc for Toyota connectors. This allows us to do wiring work with NO splices in the harness at all. It also allows us to build wiring harnesses completely from scratch, to OEM specifications.

A few pics for you. smile.gif

Brand new connector housing, wire, wire seals, and terminals.

Adding the wire seal....

Crimped the terminal...

Installed into the connector housing...

Here I'm wiring up a new ignition harness for a 2JZGTE.

Hey doc, will these harnesses be more expensive? What happens if we need to trace wires back?

We've been steadily increasing our quality for a few years now with no price increases (okay, one price increase smile.gif ) and I don't plan on increasing them anytime soon.

Not sure what you mean about tracing wires, there's nothing different there.

You know, I have a lot of fancy crimping tools, but ironically I tried out a universal terminal crimper that a friend of mine sent me, it's doing an outrageous job smile.gif

Not when using our splice crimps, no. We've seen many harnesses that were done by other shops with failed soldered connections, which is why soldered connections aren't used on OEM harnesses.

Actually our wiring work has reached the point where it's debatable if there's any value to be added, since the quality is already much higher than most people require. For example, the majority of people doing swaps won't be racing them on a road course, or driving them at high speeds for extended periods of time on the Autobahn, or drag-racing on a 1/4 track regularly. So it would be fair to say that the quality of our harness work is already "too high" for our target market.

That said, we still continue to look at new ways to do things better and better, and the work you see above is an example of this. One reason is, quite frankly, I personally like doing wiring and get a kick out of doing work that looks like it came from the Toyota factory. Another reason is that I hope to attract a "higher end" market of people who want to pay more for totally brand-new stuff, or even secure a major contract with someone to build new wiring harnesses for them.
