I have a stock unit that i got from teh auto wrecker, but the blue and black cables( the ones liek bike brakes) were cut, so I'm not sure if this unit would be usuable if i sent that in exchange for a modified unit. Is that a big problem or no?

i went by my UPS store today, i got PMed by every member that i shipped stuff with that day (i dropped off 6 boxes to be sent out)... i ship so much with them that i usually just drop them off and they pack and ship them for me and charge my credit card and email me the tracking numbers, its a nice little system, well the CC i have on file with them was compromised (thats how Citibank puts it) so it kept coming back declined so they never shipped them out, i gave them a new CC today so sorry for the late shipping but you should be getting the item by the end of this week... and i do have pics... will post them later tonight

Don't be worried, this kid is on the up and up, I'm happy to vouch for him. You have to factor in a few things here - a veritible ASSLOAD of snow has not only delayed his ability to get movin', but it delays deliveries which includes the cores that he relies on getting back so he can make these mods without charging any of us a core charge. So when he's delayed by being snowed in, people are delayed in receiving and returning the core, which is delayed AGAIN once it IS shipped because most of the country is under a foot of snow... and so on and so on. Think of it in terms of how one bad storm screws up the air traffic for the entire country and flights are delayed EVERYWHERE. Each factor depends on each other factor and one hiccup throws off the whole deal.

Then you factor in any normal human reasonable delays anyway - Pit's greatest downfall is that he's not always the greatest judge of time (I can relate to this exceedingly well) - you *think* you can get it done by xyz, but the reality is that abc was just more realistic. Cut him some slack, like I said, I'll vouch for him, he's TOTALLY on the up and up, and it really, truly is worth the wait.

Thanks, I have that bookmarked also, I tried it once but it didn't work, I think it was the wrong type of LED...

Any LED should work. You probably have your polarity reversed though - the flat side of the LED is the cathode, negative, and the other side is the anode, positive. (I think, I always get the two mixed up.)

In any case, if you look in that thread, the flat side is negative, so make sure your flat side is on the same side as that picture.

Trust me I tried that, it came out of a clock that was AC instead of DC, I don't know if that would make a difference or not but it worked when it was in the clock.....

I did my own a few years ago. I do have a question though. My LED that is in the air circulation controls. The one on the right. seems to have issues. same with the one in the A/C controls. I remember saudering these and they were sketchy then. Any advice on these?
