hello I bought a set of fog lights from the 5th gen celica on e-bay I believe it was years ago and I just got around to trying and install them but the bulbs won't light up they must be burned up. The are going on my 94 celica gt.
1. I am wondering where I can get replacement bulbs? All it says on the bulb is Halogen 12V 55 W there are no serial numbers to match up. There are numbers on the outer houseing but I only need the bulb. 2. Would these have the same bulb in them as the 6th generation fog lights? 3. Does anyone know what partnumber to use or what to look for Thanks...... I am short on time so I thought I'd ask first!!! Brandon |

Thanks for the info I was able to find H3 bulbs 55 Watts at walmart for cheap, but I am wondering
-if there is a higher wattage bulb that will fit or can be made to fit in the housing? -I live where there are a lot of whitetail deer hiding in the ditches waiting to cross, so I was hoping to use these for lighting up the ditch, but it seems as though they are designed with a very wide beam that is also very thin. the best I can figure these factory lights are meant to project out directly in front of the car pointed slightly towards the ground to help visibility in fog. Not exactly what I wanted them to do. -I have 60 watt high beams and with those on i can't even tell the fog lights are on. On low beams they are 50watts so I can tell then that the fogs are working. I was thinking a higher wattage bulb might help???? Any ideas??????Thanks Oh my fogs are the same ones that came on the factory 97-99 celca's...... |

QUOTE hello I bought a set of fog lights from the 5th gen celica on e-bay QUOTE Oh my fogs are the same ones that came on the factory 97-99 celca's...... I am confused do you have 5th gen fogs or 97-99 fogs? QUOTE the best I can figure these factory lights are meant to project out directly in front of the car pointed slightly towards the ground to help visibility in fog That would be the point of fog lights, to help you see it the fog... If you want them to help with the ditches on the side you'll have to tilt them to the side, possibly make a custom bracket to tilt them off to the side. BUT i am not sure how legal it is to have your lights on facing any other directions but forward. -------------------- 1 JL 1,000/1v2
