I got this off the same site I got my intake from. I know the "hair dryer" turbos don't work and other random chips don't work (especially considering they cost 20-40 bucks or something cheap like that). Does anyone have any idea whether this works as described? They have one for the 5sfe but is it going to be worth dropping $350 bucks on?

All of these, without exception, are absolute BS. Just think about it:

You CANNOT make more hp by just fattening the fuel. You need to flow more air, otherwise you're just running rich. No module can make your engine breathe better. You need to make physical changes. Cams, valves, intake, exhaust, turbo, whatever.

The only time a module can increase hp by itself is on a turbo engine, where it can be programmed to allow more boost. THAT pumps more air.

Thank you thats pretty much what I figured. I just wanted to do the double check before I went and did something dumb like drop $350 on some crap like that instead of putting it towards the cat-back thats coming right after I get my headers.

once you get your headers - take the car to a local exhaust shop (price them out ahead of time of course) and have them do a full exhaust - from the headers back with ~2.25 inch piping - will most likely cost you the same if not less than buying a bolt axel-back system (around me its roughly $200 for a turbo back setup in 3" (crush bent) with cat, muffler & descent tip)
