November 2nd

It is going to be amazing!!!!

Some new features that have surfaced this week: All the pics here are in-game footage....

It's got a track generator, so you pick the type of track/ corners etc, and a random course/rally stage is created, so you can never run out of tracks

You have to start your career in Karting

I have forza 3 and i think its pretty good. it lacks some things in certain areas, but it also has it's good points as well.
the one thing i like most about an of the GT's is that you need to get a license. I still love to play GT3 for PS2 lol
I just hate those hour long races!

ah a stat whore? personally i don't play games for ranks and perks i find it makes the games uneven as there are so many over powered perks that the higher ranks (the people who have also got the advantage of experience and skill) use and abuse makes the games too uneven, gave up on Call of Duty they've ruined the franchise with modern warfail 2, it's exactly the same games as modern warfare underneath yet they charge full price for it and now they are charging for DLC that includes maps from the original game? they are deffo taking some suckers for a ride. They've built Halo: Reach for the current fans of Halo's evolving universe which has actually taken on some elements of the Red vs Blue web series.

I'm personally very excited for this game. I hope it actually lives up to its promise of being more exciting though...it definitely got boring to me with GT4 somehow, GT3 was much more fun. I want GT to stay true to simulation, but the series somehow needs elements (or excitement like) of arcade games.

And lastly...let's hope this is the actual release date.

The only thing that already slightly disappoints me is NASCAR...seriously? I'm going to hate doing those races. In fact, they'll probably have to be completed drunk in order to be any fun. But I guess this is all part of GT trying to be all-encompassing of motorsport, karting was a really good idea in that respect.

Yeah I had it reserved for the Feb. 2nd date. Pissed me off...

And the NASCAR did gave me a face. I'm just glad they kept the F1 cars they introduced in GT4. Now THOSE cars were great fun to drive. Although my personal favorite was my custom tuned Amuse S2000 GT1. That thing handled like a dream.

I just got THIS wheel, and it's brilliant!

Specifically made for GT, it even has an adjustment dial, so you can change suspension, brake settings mid-race

It does need to be fixed down though, i currently fix it to my ironing board

x2 - Especially with the Gran Turismo franchise. They've never made it to deadline other than the first one... but thats just because NO ONE was expecting it. When they do finally release the game its riddled with bugs, and that DLC pissed me off.

That game would be one of the main reasons for me buying a PS3; but since all the BS in the past with GT - I still have yet to purchase one.

Don't worry lads, the November release is confirmed, and the PS3 has a 10 year lifespan according to Sony.... Although i don't think it can keep up with PC games for that long....

I actually think it's pretty embarrassing how long it's taken to make this game, but with the stuff i've heard recently, like the kart racing and the course creator, i think it will just about live up to the massive hype

My favorite was GT4! And I hope I can find a used GT-Four like I did in GT4. I put the stage 4 turbo in it just to see (I usually use stage 2, that's my favorite balance of power and response for track), and that thing was BEAST. Did the 1/4 drag in 8.9 sec

If I wanted to get NASCAR experience, I'd just drag a Hot Wheel across the floor really fast in a circle. That's gotta be at least 300mph to scale, right?

Yeah hopefully.. I'd rather spend my time doing rallys and F1. I was sad with GT4 because there weren't as many rally races as there were in GT2, but it got traded off for the super awesome F1 car that made me a happy guy.

That was such a great idea! I'm gonna scour the used section for a GT-Four. I had one in GT4 and it was a GREAT car. No street car was better than my Amuse S2000 GT1 though lol

Yeah me too. But imo, nothing beat the sound of that V12 TVR. Holy balls, that was scary. And I LOVED the AE86's idling sound! "wingawingawingawinga" hahaha
