OK I'm just wondering if removing the Resonator on my Intake would yield any noticeable performance gains on my car? Or help with my MPG?

The Resonator on the 5S-FE Intake is on the Underside of the Intake Tube is it? or is it someplace else?

I doubt it will do anything, I think all it is for is sound deadening.

its safe to delete that, you can cap off the end any way you like, you'll get a little extra intake roar but no extra power.

for best results use a 3" aluminum intake pipe with 2.5-3" reducer couplers, either get an intake pipe with the correct nipple for that oil breather hose otherwise chuck a mini air filter on the end of the valve cover.

i picked up a white plastic cap for ABS tubing from the homedepot for 60cents and it does the job. its really thick plastic so it can handle the stress of the clamp. there is also another resonator in the lid of the air filter box.
