I can't find the original thread for some reason, but I wanted to share a 6gc sighting from Top Gear with you all:

It's kind of small (photobucket resizes automatically), but you can see a blue 6th gen in Season 13, episode 2 when they are looking for nice "sporty" cars that are well suited for a teens first car.

Was actually going to make a thread about that sighting in that episode of Top Gear but couldn't capture the image. It's quite funny cause they had a budget of 3000 pounds to buy a teenagers car and they could've easily bought a GT4 Celica and beat the challenge but they didn't. Still it was a funny episode.

Well, they still needed money left for insurance and "mods" lol. Plus, did you see how much they trashed those cars? I'd hope no one would try to destroy a gt-4 like that.

I noticed it when I saw the episode as well, just didn't think of how to post it. They should've bought that though, loads better than a Volvo or that Hyundai, and most likely that Vdub.

I've seen a black hatch in Scrubs, not sure about the year. Carla yelled something and the whole surrounding area near the hospital stopped to listen. It shows a scene with stopped traffic and there's a 6GC a few cars back.

And then you got the real GT4 on top gear 15 years ago and they compared it to the Ford Cosworth and Jeremy being the big Ford fan prefered the Ford to the GT4.

I've seen that video before... I have respect for the Cosworth Escort (not much, but there's a little there) but the GT4 is a hundred times the car that the Escort is in my opinion. If nothing else, just for the curb appeal.

Both cars are pretty comparable, since they both are AWD, same horsepower and pretty much the same weight. It's all about asthetics...and dependability wink.gif (woot Toyotas!)

Actually dude he almost begrudgingly has to admit that the Celica is slightly better but then he says he doesn't like the overall package as much [which is largely subjective anyway] - it's a good watch.
I can't find it with audio tho kindasad.gif

and as for the old Top Gear road test, Jeremy was quite fair with the st205 actually, he actually liked it, just like he says, hes tall and couldnt fit in the Celica, and the ford is cheaper, thats why he preferred it. I think he likes Celicas actually lol, I also remember him commenting on the 7th Gen Celica once too saying he drove it and its a good car.

My driver's ed book back in high school had a 6gc gauge cluster on the cover and was loaded with pictures of a Celica. I always acknowledged it but never thought I'd own one tongue.gif

ahhh I finally found it after digging for a long time through old files.

I'm not quite sure which episode it's in but here's the pic.

I think it might be when they're having the party and doug's asking why kyle left in such a hurry after nerdraging.

Bringing this up from the dead.
Spotted a facelifted convertable in season 3 episode 7 of Bloodline last night. Kinda surprised me to see it in a current tv show. I guess they wanted an affordable car that looked good
