Well I don't know if anyone remembers me posting about replacing the radiator on my 'vert due to cracking plastic about a year ago. Now it's time for the hatch to get one, cracked open on my way to class today. Unfortunately I no longer get a discount at Carquest, so I can't get another $70 aluminum radiator lol.

Now I'm wondering about this all aluminum one I found on ebay, it seems similar to the Carquest branded one I used before. I'm not going to drop the money for a Koyo or anything like that, but I do want an all-aluminum part so I don't worry about this plastic again. Anyone used one of these?

140 and free shipping from auto zone. How did you get such a good deal on the aluminum radiator?

When I worked at Carmax they used the Carquest distribution center as their main parts supply, so I was able to get parts at a good discount.

Here's the one I'm looking at now: clicky

Mine's been cracked for months and months...

What damage can it cause? Lmfao. I'm going to repair it, just haven't gotten around to it yet. It's very small leak.

It's not so much the issue of the leak, but the issue of losing pressure. When you lose pressure in the cooling system, you lower the boiling point of the coolant so it will boil out of the overflow as if the car overheated. Plus if the pressure drops too much you'll not get any circulation, IE overheating.
