Got in an accident today...Some guy in a tow truck ran a red light. Yes I had the green light, I have 5 witnesses. I'm alright but my arm is a little messed up.

Damn dude, that sucks. It looks fixable though, but doubt your gonna go through with it. But luckily you were hit and looks like your gonna receive money from it, if not you could always part it and pick up from that.

I dunno, first...glad your ok, for the most part. Im not sure about fixable (I mean what isnt after all). Something like that the insurance co is gonna want to total out. Ive seen less frontal damage and it still get "totaled". Sorry about your loss.

Yes you can fix it. Yes I assure you it will be totaled. Yes it will be extremely expensive to fix, I'd say about $3000-5000. If you need a link to the sheet metal let me know they stock all of it.

Yeah, for that price you can buy another celica...Maybe I should of phrased that better. You can fix it (you can pretty much fix almost anything), but with the time and money thats involved (not to mention owning a salvage title...good luck reselling for what you put into it) youd be better off getting another car.

God that looks so terrible! I am glad you are ok, because after seeing that, it was the first thing that came to mind. So.... Are you going to part her out? This guy wants your Radio Trim Bezel, and if you had a sunroof, your motor and switches. biggrin.gif

Glad to hear you're alright. That looks like it was a bad wreck. But these cars are built surprisingly safe. I hope everything works out well for you. You might have to drive a little ways to find a new one, but it'll be worth it.

looks like the strut towers wouldve moved in. even if you can get it fixed close enough, its not worth it since it will never be the same again. I say get another car.

If you're willing to part out the car at all, I need the fuse box cover from the interior. And maybe the little door / cover that you put over an empty deck slot.

This is what I mean:

Damn... I'm glad you're alright. You can find them in Chicago, you're just going to have to be patient. It took me almost a month of looking to find mine and its completely unmolested. Just make sure that you have some extra in your budget to account for a new motor.....

I'm from Illinois too, but I'm south of you. I had to look for 3 months to find a decent Celica, and I had to drive 3 hours to get it. You might be able to find one it St. Louis, but it's rough looking for one right now.

It's looking like a "total loss" to me...but you never know. I've seen worse cars get covered. Weird. Anyways, hope everything goes well. Collisions always suck. (Strip that thing for parts!)
