Hello my name is Elizabeth, Projectinprogress's (James)wife. He was in an accident last night here in south florida and he is in critical condition. he was heading home from a local friday night show when some jackass in a vette decided to taunt him into racing but he attempted to decline and the assholein the vette moved closeer towards James' passenger door and he lost control and hit a barrier then i get a call from UCH(hospital here in tampa) and it was all downhill till now. i wanted to let this community know and hope you will keep him in your prayers. He is a good husband and loving father as well as an automobile enthusiast. thank you for your time

liz, hope everything turns out ok.

Not to be rude, but what happens to all sales and warranty replacements? Just for the sake of the community?

My prayers go out to you and your family and especially Jim. When he gets well enough for cards let us know the physical address of the hospital. Cards always help if you are in a hospital for a long time. (I know, I work in one).

My sympathies goes out to any family who suffers any sort of unjust tragedy.

What happened was terrible...getting seriously hurt because of someone else's taunts is very disheartening to hear. But we must all realize how fortunate it was that only one person was involved in this accident and not the whole family. That he was in the car alone, however unfortunate that was, was a good thing.

And the fact that details of this accident was known and relayed to his wife is definitely good fortune, now the cops have an account of what happened and project can seek compensation for his medical bills by going after that guy. Think about it, a few hours after this tragedy occurs, his wife is notified by the hospital that her husband was injured. That almost never happens. And clearly he was conscious enough to tell the paramedics/EMT the account of the accident, that he was goaded into racing, that the vette almost side swiped him, so at the very least he's not in a coma.

To his wife (Elizabeth), you are a very good person to stop and consider the feelings and thoughts of the 6GC community. Had someone I care for get into a serious accident, coming on this forum (a mere few hours later) and posting would be the last thing on my mind. I'd be out of my wits honestly. But to inform the rest of us...that takes alot of courage and mental toughness. We appreciate it.

Lastly, I think I speak for the majority of us on the forum by saying, get well soon. Don't worry about the other stuff (like shipping out the HIDs, kits, etc), we've been waiting weeks for these items, so a few more weeks (or months) isn't going to make much more of a difference.
