Hello all, The name is Marco and i live in San Antonio. I bought my celica in april of 07 for $2300, I have been a member for a minute now, and i want to start my progression thread since i have seen many on this website. Well, lets begin! smile.gif

4-17-2007
Here are some pics of when i brought her home the first day
when i first purchased the car i wasn't really into it like i am now.
a couple of things tha you may see or not see is the sun damage on hood and roof.

INTERMISSION!!!!!! For about a year the celica was sitting and i didn't have any enthusiasm to work on her....

during this time i purchased a 92' 300zx n/a black on black (if you would like some info or see pics pm me, want to stay with celica!) i kept the 300zx for about five months...thats when i started getting into the upgrade mode!!!!! biggrin.gif

6-22-2009
I finally gathered some cash flow to put into the celica
as you can see i got my limo tint (5%) all around, and my 19" motegi's sitting on Kumho Ecsta Tires 215/35/19
those rims used to be on a 2007 Mazda 3 Hatchback which belonged to my older brother.

as you can see my driver side fender pinched, that happened while i was at school...mad.gif

7-22-2009
About a month later i got a nice Candy Apple Red paint job, projectors, H.I.D. (which i don't have a night pic yet), and clear corners

8-15-2009
I was contemplating on getting my interior refurbished but never had the time to, and didn't want to go without a car for a week or so.....so what i did was search on this site and found something outstanding!!!! biggrin.gif Some before and after on my interior

with nasty seat covers

now w/o seat covers.....lol

Taking out the stock shifter...

Floor mats

Almost done..installed trd quickshifter..still need to swap out original steering wheer for 7gen wheel!

9-17-2009
JDM Tails arrived and installed!!!!!!

9-22-2009
I am quiet done with my interior....today ups stopped by and dropped off a little present!! biggrin.gif
i am sad to say i did not purchase the pioneer 8" speaker due to my father getting me a pyle 8" speaker as a gift...
have been tempted to sell and go ahead to purchase the pioneer 8"....but wouldn't want to upset my dad.....and the car will be bumping LOUD enough anyways!!! woot.gif

I'm not a fan of the 19's (design is fine, but it makes the car look like a donk), but that interior is cleeeaan. Black leather with red stitiching...exactly what I would have. Props, good sir. thumbsup.gif

Well, they do look good. Good deal then. I would just rather have 17's, just saying. smile.gif

I'm surprised the tire is so skinny though, it's the same width I have.

Good lookin' ride there!

I especially like the floor mats and the Pioneer audio setup. Are you planning on getting an amp a little later?

PS: You purchased your GT on my birthday...that makes it and you very lucky. biggrin.gif

I'm digging the whole thing, sans the 19" wheels. I know you got a killer deal on them, but I think they destroy the flow of the car. Even with sportlines, you are probably going to rub, and might get down to stock ride height. I think you should post up on your local craigslist and see if anyone has wheels they'd like to trade, or you can pick up a set of Scion tC wheels for pretty cheap. Or a similarly designed wheel a couple sizes smaller.

x2 on the tC rims...but if you could trade down to Motegi in size 17, that would be awesome as well.

Let me rephrase that: the interior I want when I have the funds.
It sucks...it looks soooo good, but that is ridiculous for just a wheel.

Sound system looks good man.

Stopped at the dealer to pick up my order!

Exhaust before:

Went to the junkyard with my friend to find parts for his car and ended up buying this.....smile.gif
Don't know if i like the look, but i like the way it sounds...may get it chopped.

straight from the yard

Cleaned up!

Exhaust After

Let me know what you all think!

I like the progress you have made with your car. Your car was showing some wear as expected with the age, but the new interior and paint job really make it look new again. You ought to take some Meguiers Plastix headlight cleaner to those headlights...it will get rid of any cloudiness or light pits you may have. Really does a good job. Have you put the TRD extensions on yet? Those always look good! The only other thing, you ought to see if a muffler shop can straighten out your exhaust, looks like it curves down a lot as if it is dragging some. Do you plan on installing OEM sideskirts to go along with the bumper extensions?

i plan on doing that but with work and school my time is limited, i do what i can with my spare time.

blah priorities should be drop and fix the fender/bumper before you start extensions...the celica is blessed with great lines stock...get those in order first. other than that, very clean!

Woah dude, it looks absolutely amazing! (except for the exhaust lol, but i'm sure you can get it closer to the bumper)

I'm just curious, how much did it cost to upgrade all of that?

about ~$50-60...depending if you need two cans like i did.
i bought the carpet padding and my first can at home depot came out to about $45...
$35 for the padding and $10 for the can....second can i bought at autozone for ~$7 cheap verzion but still effective.
to tell you the truth i think the autozone can worked better!

9-22-2009
I am quiet done with my interior....today ups stopped by and dropped off a little present!! biggrin.gif
i am sad to say i did not purchase the pioneer 8" speaker due to my father getting me a pyle 8" speaker as a gift...
have been tempted to sell and go ahead to purchase the pioneer 8"....but wouldn't want to upset my dad.....and the car will be bumping LOUD enough anyways!!! woot.gif

hey where did you get your aftermarket seats?
the leather ones with the red sitching ?
