My ex gf's grandfather is hooking me up with a deal, 500 and i can get any color i want and my kit on

im having hard deciding on a color to get. my car is already white
i cant decide on repainting it white, black, or like a metallic blue or candy apple red

the interior is painted white on the inside so it should match up with any of those colors if i go with a 2 color scheme (i think im gonna get some white 17's at the end of nov.)

let me know wut u think biggrin.gif

If you don't want attention from cops, I suggest staying away from bright reds and yellows and oranges and bright greens and such. I frequently get(well, got...I haven't been driving for 2+ months) pulled over for things such as pulling into the far lane instead of the close one, driving four over the speed limit in a thirty, etc.

Also, keep in mind that if you get a tri coat paint with pearl in it or something fancy, it's going to be a major pain and cost a lot to get any future bodywork done, as it's very tough to match the existing paint. I destroyed my front end pretty good through a couple incidents, and it's going to cost me a lot to get it repainted. frown.gif If you have any bodywork that you're planning on doing, like a new spoiler or a body kit or shaving emblems, the best time to do it is before the whole car is painted if at all possible.

Also, you might want to consider getting your interior panels professionally painted the same color as the car when your car is being painted. You'd have a really nice finish and look to your interior panels if they're done right. smile.gif That's what I plan to do when I get my front end repainted.

Also, does that paint job price include the door jams and stuff?

Coomer, I said this in a previous post... but I don't think the whole bright colored paint jobs apply today...

What I mean is this... if you're car was painted bright red, yellow, or whateverz, and had no mods... you should be alright.

If your car is painted whatever color, and you have some attractive mods (i.e. exhaust, ear-deaffening sound system, etc), then you have a higher percentage of getting pulled over...

Now if you have all the bling bling mods and a bling bling paint job... then you're just assking for trouble...

I know that before the import tuning craze... bright colors would call for higher insurance and a higher chance of getting pulled over... but I really don't think that this is the case today.

Just my $0.02...

Good point Ray. smile.gif Seeing as he already has exhaust and a system though, and is planning on getting rims, with those mods, I think he'd be more likely to get pulled over if he had a candy apple red car than a black car. wink.gif

thanks for all the insight. I am now leaning towards a red. i still like blue and i like coomers yellow. that being sed repainting it white hasnt left my mind yet either cuz if i keep it white, instead of buying white rims im getting my friends enkei's(sp?) (i forget model name, rs something) but they look really good on his white cavy.

I was looking at the new Rav 4 blue as well.

decisions..decisions.. lol

one last question, i was looking at some body kits, and i saw the one at cyberbestbuy.com and i liked that one and itchy sed it was easy to put on and required no modifying but the one he has doesnt look Vader style

does the vis kit fit good?, im trying to avoid extra cost i like invader style

-wish they made a gt4 looking kit that isnt an actual gt4 kit(unless they do and i dont know)

I like something a little different than the usuals. Turquoise, but thats a stock color, yellow is good, the burnt orange that nissian has is sweet, a deep deep purple might looks good, and maroon cars are pretty rare. Get something different!

Personally, I love this red. I think it looks amazing, and I was very, very close to painting my car this color.

painting the whole car for 500? jambs and everything? thats a sweet deal. thats ridiculous actually, if its a good paint job that is. i dunno dude if ur gonna go with a 2 tone thing and white rims, go with somethin that'll contrast the white well. red wont contrast white well, at least in my opinion. ive seen some kick ass red/white cars, but a blue/white combo usually works a lot better. and darker color with the white will look nice. the black/white can look good if pulled off right, but everything has to be black or white. if u do black/white and dont do anything to ur tails, that'll take away from it cuz theres that orange and red in there. if u go black/white u can blackout your tails. If you go blue/white you can paint over em and go crazy w/ that. I'm personally goin red/gunmetal. putting the finishing touches on the idea.
