SSIII spoiler, its all done and installed Options

ok, i bought some ssiii risers and was curious as to what can be used to clean them, they have some gunk on the outside of them and it will not come off with normal car wash soloution, any suggestiones?

Buffer and polishing compound should do the trick

Aren't you repainting them to match your car anyway? Just sand it down...

That's actually what I'm doing now I sanded them with 200 then 400 wet then layed down a coat of primer. Now I'm thinkin of leaving them black because I cannot find my color paint anywhere... So thinkin black

You should leave it black. Thats gonna look sick with your paint. Ive never seen a celica with your color with black blocks.

ok this is what i started with, sorry it took so long to get pics of them up but here they are
dirty when i got them,

when i started on them with the primer and sanding all that junk,

then this is basically the finished product,

i do like the primer flat black look, but still juggleing between flat and gloss, but i know that just leaving primer on them is not an option, so hopefully i can have them painted on wednesday and installed friday, so what ya think?

I don't know what it looks like in person, but I like the stickers that way actually- looks like they're incorporated into the riser, not just 'stuck on.'

lol i kinda like they way it looks like this, and i really didnt wanna mess with prying them off and getting them back on, but they kinda look how the gt-4 blocks look with the embossed logo

well looks like the risers are not going on, aparently my spoiler is weird and does not have the indentaions in the bottom of the spoiler where the lifted section of the risers go into and they are not there so its not going on anytime soon

Hey now, don't do that. Seriously, your car will look so good with these things. I'll try to help you out. I'll search with you to get a spoiler that's good. You can always see if you want to repair my first spoiler (Seriously, I have a collection of these damn things). It has the notch holes you need and is mountable, but you'd need to see if you can fix the crack on the underside.

My point is, never give up on a project because of a lack of funds at the present moment. Because once you have the money, you'll kick yourself for selling what you'll need to rebuy and repaint.

That means the spoiler you have is not a authentic OEM 94-95? I mean you clearly have a 96 ST but with a 94-95 spoiler. All USDM authentic 94-95 spoilers have the indents to mount blocks.

Ehhh, do the teal you have on your car. Spoiler and blocks one color and car another would look like a mistake.

Get some TRD splitters on that thing, and you'll be fighting the ladies off. They'll have to take a number.

Nah, but really, once you put TRD splitters on the car, you realize how incomplete the rear end of the car looks without them. Pictures do them no justice. No rush on those, but they really do amazing things for the rear end of the car. I'm liking where your car is going. Keep up the good work

y did you paint the actual spoiler too? usually just the blocks are painted black.

He painted his black because it was silver I think. Mine came black and I haven't painted it yet.

Yup technicks sent me his old silver spoiler and I sanded primed and painted it black, hopefully will be painted summer '10
