ok im all jumping for joy cause that was the first time i ever worked on an alternator let alone a car. but i got one question . i'm just a little worried about the belt. Is it possible to have the belt TOO tight?.. like iunno how tight it's supposed to be.

yes, if u push down on a section between any two parts it should have about half an inch to 3/4 inch of up and down play

An old trick is if you can turn the belt 90 degrees but no more than that it is pretty good.

yah i just realized after >.> sorry about that.. was too excited about my first work lmao.. as for Xrav, i checked the one Mstooch said and mine was a little too tight so i adjusted it at work lol. iunno maybe ill check if it's 90 degrees tomorrow >.>

my power steering belt is WAY to tight i just remembered...i was gonna adjust it after i drove home,like a month ago..**** hahahha
